The Scoundrel Court

Episode 294: Rumble with Michael Moore
The current and drastically diminished U.S. Supreme Court, dominated by its 6 right wing justices and now exiled and rejected by the majority of their fellow Americans.

On this week’s episode of my podcast, I celebrate our country’s birthday week by going after the Supreme Court and suggesting ways to remove the Justices who have perjured themselves, been caught taking huge sums of money from billionaires, and how all six right wing Justices have committed various ethical infractions — but have not been sanctioned or removed. Oh, they’ve also taken wholesale rights away from women, the LGBTQ+ community and people of color. Plus, they’ve gutted the EPA, expanded gun “rights,” and killed Biden’s student loan debt relief plan.

The Supreme Court is now the most disliked and distrusted government institution in the land. The Roe v Wade decision has the vast majority of the country up in arms against them now. And enough of the righties on the court are worried about their “legacy” or their possible removal from the court. The more we organize against them, the better it will get. Time to rock this not-so-supreme boat.

Check out these incredible pieces of investigative journalism mentioned in this episode covering the questionable ethics of our Supreme Court Justices:

The Washington Post:

"Activist group led by Ginni Thomas received nearly $600,000 in anonymous donations"

"Law firm head bought Gorsuch-owned property"

"Justices shield spouses’ work from potential conflict of interest disclosures"

** In order to have a troll-free, hate-free comments section — and because if there’s one thing I know about my crazy haters, they would rather spend an eternity in hell with Marjorie Taylor Greene than send me $5 if forced to become a paid subscriber — my Comments section here on my Substack is limited to paid subscribers. But, not to worry — anyone can send me their comments, opinions and thoughts by writing to me at mike@michaelmoore.com. I read every one of them, though obviously I can’t respond to all. And every few weeks or so I share them publicly here on Substack and on my podcast so that your voice is heard by the multitudes in this wonderful community of readers and listeners. The solution here is not optimal but it has worked and my Comments section has become a great meeting place for people wanting to discuss the ideas and issues I raise here. There is debate and disagreement, but it is refreshing to have it done with respect and civility, unfettered by the stench of bigotry and Q-anon insanity.
