Stuck In The Middle

Episode 219: Rumble w/ Michael Moore
Is this the future we want?

First, I want to thank everyone who has been a listener to Rumble with Michael Moore. As I mention in today’s episode, we recently surpassed our 30 millionth download! When we launched in December of 2019 barely knowing what we were doing, we did not foresee anything like those numbers in our first 22 months. More important than the numbers, I know how helpful this podcast was for me in getting through everything in 2020 and 2021 — and I’ve heard from many of you who have shared the same sentiment. Thank you for that.

Rumble will be here for all of us as we continue our battle with the 3 pandemics — Covid, Climate and Coup. When we launched this Substack in August, we began publishing the audio of the podcasts right here in these posts (see the audio player above). But if you prefer listening to podcasts on one of the big audio platforms (i.e. Apple and Spotify) we continue to publish there. So if you haven’t gotten into it yet, feel free to go to Apple or Spotify, subscribe (for free) to Rumble with Michael Moore and give it a 5 star review so we can help get the word out and share it with more people around the country and around the world.

On today’s episode, I’m joined by Yale History and Law Professor Samuel Moyn to discuss his recent op-ed titled, “If Democrats Return To Centrism, They Are Doomed To Lose Against Trump.” We discuss the Democrats passing the physical infrastructure bill, but failing to, as promised, simultaneously pass the much-needed and politically popular human infrastructure bill, plus the decision by 6 Squad members to courageously stick to their word and only vote on both bills together. We also discuss the never-ending campaign from corporate Democrats and corporate media pushing the party to move to the “center” and be more “moderate” and water down all of their programs that the American people and the planet currently need.

You can check out Samuel Moyn’s provocative new book, “Humane: How the United States Abandoned Peace and Reinvented War” here.

On to the next 30 million!
