Whackadoodle No More
(A daily series about why I’m convinced the Trumpsters, the Republicans and their ongoing attempted coup are about to be tossed into the trashbin of history.)
Well folks, another day, another Whackadoodle Republican running for office — not to get elected, but to remind the voters how insane and dangerous the Trumplican Party is.
Today I’d like to introduce you to the next on our list of the Top Ten Whackadoodles:
• John Gibbs, Republican running for the House seat in Michigan’s 3rd district — once held by President Gerald Ford.
When it comes to Mr. Gibbs’ extreme views, you don’t need to take my word for it, you just need to read his.
A staunch Trump ally, he claims that the outcome of the 2020 election was mathematically impossible. Gibbs actually served in the Trump administration as acting Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development for Community Planning and Development. He joined Trump’s 1776 Project, which was established to support “patriotic education.” He calls Critical Race Theory a “diabolical scheme.”
Gibbs doesn’t stop there. According to CNN, “Gibbs made multiple references to a conspiracy theory started by far-right bloggers claiming Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta took part in a Satanic ritual that involved bodily fluids.”
But the best part of Gibbs’ past was the historic contribution he made while attending Stanford University.
There, at one of the country’s most prestigious colleges, Gibbs created his own think tank called “The Society for the Critique of Feminism.”
Gibbs was adamant that he and others at Stanford expose the “serious misconceptions” caused by the feminist movement — crazy notions propagated by feminist leaders who falsely claim that women have been historically oppressed, or that a patriarchal society is inherently wrong and that more women in the workplace is better for women [because it isn’t]. Gibbs also wanted to dispute the lie that women were receiving unequal pay for doing equal work.
Here’s a portion of the questions and answers Gibbs wrote on the think tank’s website:
Q: Are men smarter than women?
A: If by "smart", one means the ability to think logically about broad and abstract ideas in order to deduce a suitable conclusion, without relying upon emotional reasoning, I think the answer is yes.
Q: What do you think about women getting the right to vote — women's suffrage? Should women have the right to vote?
A: We cannot say that women should be able to vote simply because they are a large part of the population. Most importantly, we should consider whether or not our democratic process and our country has benefited from women's suffrage…
Increasing the size and scope of government is unequivocally bad. And since women's suffrage has caused this to occur on a larger scale than any other cause in history, we’ve concluded that the United States has suffered as a result of women's suffrage.
I promised you as part of this Midterm Tsunami series to give you my top 10 Whackadoodle list of Republican Candidates on the ballot. But after posting the above about House candidate John Gibbs, and realizing there is no way to limit this list to 10 Whackadoodles when the real number is closer to 500 — and because I only have 13 more days to impart these Truths — I’m just going to complete the rest of the list of ten right now:
• Andy Ogles, Republican House candidate for Tennessee’s 5th Congressional District who said, “If you are going to defund an agency, then I say we defund the Department of Education and its liberal agenda.”
• Kari Lake, Republican candidate for Governor in Arizona, who, as CNN reported, “posed for a photo and video with far-right personalities Ethan Schmidt-Crockett, the founder of the AntiMaskersClub who harassed a store specializing in wigs for cancer patients this summer because it required customers to wear masks, and Greyson Arnold, a Nazi sympathizer who has a history of making White nationalist, racist, antisemitic and pro-Nazi statements, including once calling Adolf Hitler “a complicated historical figure who many people misunderstand.” After Arnold posted a photo of the trio on Twitter, Lake replied, “It was a pleasure to meet you, too.””
• J.R. Majewski, Republican House candidate running for Ohio’s 9th Congressional District, who made headlines in 2020 for donning a QAnon t-shirt during his Fox News interview celebrating his “TRUMP 2020 — KEEP AMERICA…GREAT” lawn mural.
• Yesli Vega, Republican House candidate running for Virginia’s 7th Congressional District, who was caught in an audio clip, after an interviewer said she heard it was harder for a woman to get pregnant if she had been raped, saying, “Well maybe, because there’s so much going on in the body, I don’t know. I haven’t seen any studies but I’m processing what you’re saying. It wouldn’t surprise me, because it’s not something [the rape] that’s happening organically, right? It’s forcing it. And then the individual, the male, is doing it as quickly [as he can] — and so I can see why maybe there’s truth to that.”
Which truth, I’m still not sure of, other than the truth that this person should not serve in Congress.
• Bo Hines, Republican House candidate in North Carolina’s 13th district, who has been endorsed by Madison Cawthorn, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Matt Gaetz. The first bill he wants to pass in Congress is a 10-year moratorium on immigration.
• J.D. Vance, Republican Senate candidate in Ohio, who wrote in a September tweet that “Alex Jones is a far more reputable source of information than Rachel Maddow. One of them is censored by the regime. The other promoted by it.” When asked about that tweet in an interview, Vance said: “People are terrified of unconventional people, of people who don’t think the thoughts that they’re supposed to think. And that to me, is like the opposite of what you would want in an elite. You would want an elite that’s willing to think outside the box, that’s willing to say, well, maybe this is like a crazy idea, but maybe it’s true.”
I believe the majority of Americans will show up at the voting booth, or fill out their mail-in ballots in all of these races and with the stroke of their pens, send all of these Whackadoodles on a walk of shame the next morning on Nov. 9th.
Because the truth is, in their Faustian deal with the Trumpian devil, the Republican Party threw itself into a hell of chaos, vulgarity, and extreme-extremism.
America has had enough.
I’ve had enough.
And that is soon to be the end of them.

Again yesterday and this morning except for a writer from the LA times, the media is bashing democrat’s chances to beat history and retain or grow our majorities. The writer from the LA times is agreeing with us, that we are the majority, that the pollsters are wrong once again, polling is broken, does not work. The country has grown to be a very different country which pollsters do not understand. We have to keep enthusiasm up, we have to move forward and leave those comments behind. Let’s get past them and show them how wrong they are so they learn some lessons here. Women of this country will be roaring! Let’s save democracy first, we will iron out the details of how to work on the issues later. Without democracy there is no way to fix anything, if we allow them to win by letting them discourage us, our democracy will be gone. VOTE!
Regarding the anti-suffrage position, I wonder what would happen to our political system if for 4 years, like as a form of restitution, men were not allowed to vote ….
