Mike - I’ve followed you for a long time but your coverage and “spin” on this war is so impossibly unnuanced & one sided ; reduced to one side “good” (Palestinians) and one side “bad” (Israeli’s) that it’s getting harder and harder to read you. This is a complex geopolitical war aided and abetted primarily by Iran & its proxies. Who knows what role Russia, Syria & China may be playing here. All countries who are salivating over taking down the US. I know you know that.

Hamas and the Palestinians have made it clear pretty much forever that Jews & Israel should be wiped off the face of the planet. Period. End stop. The footage of Palestinians dancing and celebrating in the streets after the carnage of October 7 was nauseating and something you and the rest of the media seem to conveniently to have forgotten .

Is what’s going on in Gaza heartbreaking? Yes. But why not discuss what Hamas is doing embedding itself among the civilian population, in hospitals, among aid convoys.

Is what happened on October 7 heartbreaking? Yes. But where’s the discussion about Israeli women being raped, babies decapitated, people set on fire, or the hostages and their families and the collective trauma of the Israeli population?

Is the thousands of years of war in this small strip of land heartbreaking? Yes. How can you possibly reduce this down as you have?

And lastly, does the corrupt, self serving Netanyahu need to go so a 2 state solution and ceasefire can G-d willing happen? Absolutely yes. I pray everyday that the Israel will call for new elections and oust that cancer.

Which leads me to my final thought; do you actually think that Donald Trump will handle this better than Biden? Trump who called for a Muslim ban and will do so again if re-elected? Trump, who Netanyahu would love to see re-elected because he knows Trump will let him do whatever he wants. I ask because you seem to be banging the drum against Biden quite vehemently.

Be careful what you wish for Michael Moore.

Amen - and thank you Michael.

I love Michael Moore, but not like a cult following, the issues near and dear always educate me and makes me a better person.

I'm worried that people who are rarely around Jews might start thinking that Jews, in general, are bloodthirsty racists after seeing so much in the news about Israel's activities.

John Hankey created a 55 minute video that can be seen on the online video platform Rumble (not "Rumble with Michael Moore" which coincidently has a similar name) that shows Israel knew the October 7 Hamas attack was coming and Israel even withdrew defensive forces in the areas of the attack.

I just did the math. Michael has well over 685,000 subscribers at $5 per month = $41,200,000 per year just for his podcast. Heather Cox Richardson 1.5 million subscribers at $5 per month = $72 million per year just for her newsletter and I do not see her having any overhead. And I have to struggle every month to pay my bills. I have to process this as I never thought about it as a business. Add to that any endorsements, advertising, royalties. I love to write and have made lengthy comments on Michael's podcast and have gotten a surprising number of likes. Maybe I should start my own podcast and just charge 25 cents. Maybe a group us could start a podcast and charge $1. If we got enough followers, we could at least not have to worry about paying our bills or even send our children to college in grand style or buy that antique car or 120 foot yacht we have been salavating over. Does anyone else feel uncomfortable about this? I have got to think about this. I looked up Michael Moore's net worth and it was around 30 million dollars. Could that be right? How much of his annual revenue goes to pay expenses and how much does he get to keep? And Heather Cox Richardson is taking home how much of the $72 million dollars per year. I just saw her as a professor at Boston College doing this on the side plugging away on her laptop between lectures and grading tests and term papers. I just looked up her networth and could not find a figure but it turns out that she gets 50k to 100K per speaking event. I am not saying there is anything wrong with this, celebrity has its perks, but people are starving all over the world...comments?

Oh my. What an emotionally exhausting (in a good way) episode. Michael - you will forever be remembered as fighting the good fight. Unfortunately, as you said, you've been covering this for over 50 years, and the oppression has been going on for thousands of years. It's going to take a long time to move the rocks, but at least you are pushing. Bless you and your work.

Here’s what I would say to all of you - Michael Moore included. For all of you considering sitting out the 2024 Presidential election, voting third party or protest voting, I hope you know exactly what kind of impact that could have on the election- can you live with yourself if you aid & abet the destruction and surely death that will be unleashed should Trump win? Those are the stakes here and though I don’t view this election this way at all (I think Biden has been a very good president during an unbelievably divisive time), sometimes life is about choosing the lesser of two evils.

Excerpted from Jennifer Rubin’s Op-Ed today in WAPO:

“Remember the election is a choice between a calm, rational moderate and a deeply malign, unstable would-be autocrat. Moreover, Biden’s character and policy choices track very closely to those No Labels claims to support. But whatever your view of Biden, this is not a referendum on his first term. Even if you are disappointed or worry about his age, you simply must vote for him if you care about responsible, centrist governing. Failing to vote — or throwing away your vote on another third party (Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Stein, etc.) — would be tantamount to voting for Trump. “

There are too many war fanatics who don't care what they're doing to our fragile planet. They must hate their kids and all the other kids who get inherit their ecological messes. I'm not going to post about war stuff or read about it anymore. No matter who wins, we all lose in the end. I guess the innocent victims who are forced on be on the front lines can possibly find comfort that we're all going to be victims of a ruined planet. along with them. I'm just going to turn on Youtube and watch nature videos and gardening videos. Better for my mental health. Michael, thanks for getting PLANET OF THE HUMANS produced.

I've just had a creepy cynical thought.... Remember the Tiananmen Square Massacre.? Lots of news footage and reporters inside the protest area. They were so optimistic, saying the whole world was watching. So how's China doing now with that blood on their hands?

Netanyahu may see how little it matters in the end with "the whole world watching."

Dear Mike,

If you really want to stop the genocide and ethnic cleansing in Palestine, you’re going to have to show the American people concrete proof that “their” representatives have sold them out. Please read this:

My name is Ted Martin. I have finished writing a book about my first hand encounters with a morbidly corrupt federal judicial system. The book is titled: The Illusion of Justice and contains documented, incontrovertible proof of widespread systemic corruption in the District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Supreme Court, the Administrative Office of United States Courts, the Senate Judiciary Committee, and the U.S. Department of Justice.

In short, my book proves that the leaders of both the Republican and Democratic parties have been conspiring together to pack the courts with thoroughly vetted corporate stooges who will never side with the American people. This was abundantly clear when Senator Chuck Schumer and the Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee repeatedly refused to use irrefutable evidence of judicial misconduct by Amy Coney Barrett (a Republican nominee) at her Supreme Court confirmation hearing.

To add insult to injury, the Democrats are now campaigning on protecting a woman’s right to choose when they are clearly to blame for letting Amy Coney Barrett on the Supreme Court in the first place.

The only difference between the two major political parties is the rhetoric. The special interest groups running this country don’t give a damn which bribe taking stooge you vote for or even if you vote at all. They have already successfully rigged every election by controlling “our” choices.

Voting these treasonous corporate criminals out of office should be a no brainer. But, to make sure that they are not replaced with another batch of equally corrupt corporate stooges, we’re also going to have to take back both the Republican and Democratic parties and get the money out of politics.

While this may appear to be a daunting task, all we really need is a sound plan. After giving this matter some careful consideration, I have the following proposal: We agree to put aside all of our ideological differences and unite as Americans in support of the Constitution of the United States.

If you read my book, it really won’t be that difficult. You will know who the real enemy is and it certainly isn’t your fellow citizens. We just need to become one issue voters. Ignore their contrived wedge issues, bullshit talking points, and cringe worthy campaign ads. If they are not fighting tooth and nail to get the money out of politics—don’t legitimize them with your vote.

Seriously, if in doubt—throw them out. Besides, any government official who is not forcefully calling for the resignations of the corrupt leaders of their own political party is, by definition, violating their oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

I would like to talk with you about the jaw-dropping corruption uncovered by my book and send you a digital copy. I can be reached at (847) 824-6528. If I don’t answer and you get an answering machine for Martin Contact Lens, that’s me, please leave a message. Thank You.

Thank you Michael Moore for this carefully curated episode - and bringing up these very important points as we examine our relationship as American tax payers with the Middle East -

1. The difficult and downright perilous job journalists have when they cover the Israel-Palestine conflict. Not only when they go in person to cover the conflict in an active war zone but even at home - any criticism of the Israeli government, even a government that is unpopular and has received criticisms from its own citizens, is punished. How can a journalist do their job when they cannot be impartial?

2. The important role the film and media industry play in pushing the envelope for peace - thank you to you and others like you who have taken a courageous stance.

3. The role of politics and the distance between political will and the will of the people . This gap between the people and our elected officials has been widening but it is extremely apparent on the issue of violence in Gaza and the West Bank.

4. The viability of a 1 state solution.

I am sorry to say I know the 2 state solution has its challenges but the 1 state does as well - we have seen TikTok videos of Israelis celebrating and mocking the starvation and bombing of gazans. I do not see how they will ever accept them as neighbors. The same could be said for the other side , after a conflict like this - with so much violence carnage and hatred I struggle to see how a one state solution will be peaceful - and of course the issue of right of return is huge.

I don’t know what the best answer is - but I am very thankful to you for this podcast episode and bringing alternatives to our attention.
