Mike, I am so moved by today's Rumble, and you have fired me up to go out there and do something. Thank you for being so amazing.

But, I need to argue with you on one point: in this country, we have never, ever, welcomed immigrants with open arms. Yes, we needed their labor, but whoever was the newest wave of immigrant took a lot of abuse, discrimination, unnecessary hardship until the majority finally deigned to absorb them. Like you, I'm of Irish descent, and the Irish took a lot of shit until they suddenly became white and acceptable. Every new group of immigrants put up with unspeakable crap.

And, you urging people to accept Catholics is going to get all those Protestants in a snit. Catholics (also my heritage) aren't popular with the powers that be. Catholics aren't real Christians, says the dominant group.

Thank God that group is on the way out, and thank you for pointing out the statistics to prove that.

Thank you for giving me, and so many others, hope to go on. I share your despair and appreciate that there is someone (you) who rises above it.

Happy 2024.

Carol Brach

We do have to stop this catastrophe Biden is supporting. I do think the adult thing to do is to tell the Democratic Party we need a new candidate...if we think we can win with an incumbent who is embracing the outright slaughter of a defenseless population because that’s somehow better than the lunatic??? Why? Because it’s happening to some people “over there?” What moral high ground are we standing on now??? We’re kidding ourselves!

I remember when you started your podcast to dedicate the mission not to elect insanity. Thank you, your success has saved from much craziness. American people owe you allot, thank you. I know this hard to ask again, but 2024 may be our last meaningful election. I know this might sound like a broken record, but 2024 will be the saving of our democracy or turning it over to the crazy dictator. You will not be allowed to make movies or continue your podcast. Our rights will be a distant memory. So I peg you to use all your creative talents to defeat this evil. Please our future depends on all of are efforts to defeat the enemy of the people.

I am posting an email sent to Michael a month ago. With the introduction to the New Year episode of Rumble and the obvious implication of "war on (not "in") Gaza, I see that you have hardened your position and either not understood or ignored what I wrote. So, I am copying it here in the hope that you will think about the points that I and many others have made concerning the factual history of the Middle East instead of believing the misinformation and outright lies flooding social media.

Dear Michael,

I wrote to you several weeks ago after the "War No More" part 1 podcast, explaining why I believe your position is wrong. I wasn't going to listen to Part 2 but decided to hear what you and the pro-Palestinian protestors had to say. So, I took a long walk and listened to it. I was sad to hear both your comments and those of people in the crowd because there is so much misunderstanding of the history of Palestine and Israel. I am not a supporter of Netanyahu and believe that he will be swept out of office in the next election. I oppose the continuing building of settlements on the West Bank and condemn Netanyahu's revenge campaign that has resulted in excessive aerial bombardment, destruction, and deaths of innocent people in Gaza. But you go too far in implying that most Israelis are supportive of Netanyahu's policies. And then you veer into the wickedness of slavery in the American South as if Israelis are enslaving Palestinians. Otherwise, why bring it up in this podcast?

When I hear over and over that Israel has occupied Gaza for 75 or 100 years and the term "genocide" used to describe what Israel is doing, I shudder. Genocide was what white European Americans did to Native Americans and what Hitler and the Nazis did to European Jews. My parents and grandparents were Holocaust survivors and many of our relatives were murdered in the Shoah. Some of my family found refuge in Palestine and were pioneers in Kibbutzim a decade before Israel became independent. To suggest that the descendants of these Jews are now committing genocide is both factually wrong and morally insulting.

Israel did not occupy Gaza after the original two-state plan, which Israel accepted at its birth, was rejected by all the Arab countries. It was Egypt that stepped in and had authority over Gaza. Israel withdrew completely from Gaza in 2005. Then the Palestinian people voted for Hamas to govern them, with horrible consequences. Hamas has stolen much of the outside aid coming into Gaza, building their elaborate tunnel system and rockets rather than for humanitarian needs. The people have been used as human shields as terrorist facilities have been constructed under hospitals, schools, and homes. But who gets blamed for all the ills of the Palestinian people? Israel.

We are living at a time when anti-Semitism is running rampant in the U.S. and many parts of the world. Listen to the speech that Senator Schumer gave on the Senate floor about how American Jews feel right now. And read Noa Tishby's book, Israel: A Simple Guide to the Most Misunderstood Country on Earth. You will learn a lot, including how many times since 1948 Israel has agreed to give up territory and accept a state of Palestine, only to have Palestinian leaders reject a two-state solution. And the reason they have rejected it in the past - and will in the future - is that they do not accept the very existence of Israel. "From the River to the Sea" is a call for Israel to be wiped off the map and the extermination of nine million Israeli Jews. A black female interviewee at the pro-Palestinian rally stated that she "would turn this country over to Republicans before she would vote for Joe Biden." Think about that statement, Mike, and how utterly ignorant of what a Trump presidency - make that, a Trump "dictatorship" - would mean to people of color.

I got a nice, short note from you in reply to my email of September 20. I did not hear back about my criticisms of Part 1 of "'War No More," and probably won't get a response to this email. Please prove me wrong and show that you can be impartial on this issue.

One last thing. You state that the pro-Palestinian rally of about 3,000 people in Brooklyn was the largest of its kind. But you don't even mention the pro-Israel/free the hostages rally on the Mall in Washington which was estimated at 300,000. Did any of your team go to that rally and interview Jews and others who support Israel and demand the release of hostages?

So heartening to hear from the guy that predicted in front of all America that Trump would win in 2016 that Trump will not be winning in 2024. I trust your instincts and feel more peace tonight as I prepare for bed on this first day of the New Year. I personally believe you in your wisdom express what I feel about the world better than anyone else. May God bless, Allah bless, Hashem bless us all - far into the future.

I haven’t watched Planet of the Humans yet, but thanks you for saying out loud what I have been saying (my voice is small) all along. The answer is simple. Stop buying into Fear Of Missing Out. Stop unconscious consumption and exploitation.

If a corporation embraces ‘green energy’ the alarm bells should be ringing.

Very moving podcast. On climate change, I'd love to hear more solutions. No one in the US really believes in Reduce, Recycle, Reuse except young people. My kids buy a lot of their goods at resale, eat lower on the food chain, recycle, compost. That's a culture change underway.

On gun violence, laws can only be applied after the fact. We need culture change to put an end to gun culture and the culture of violence the we embrace. Part of this is tied up in book banning and that the notion of teaching our history of conquest, enslavement, imperialism, and genocide will make our children feel guilty about our past. Maybe we can learn from the past to shape our present and future.

On Israel, two things are true at the same time: Hamas' attack was barbaric and the loss of Jewish life and prisoner taking is horrific and I mourn the losses of our Jewish brothers and sisters with you.

Israel's response is barbaric. It killed some of its own people while killing Hamas invaders. It continues its war of retribution and has killed thousands of women, children, elderly and disabled. It has killed the prisoners that Hamas took to Gaza by sniper fire, tunnel flooding, and indiscriminate bombing and shelling. Like you, I mourn for the loss of our Palestinian brothers and sisters too.

I have written our representatives in congress and President Biden numerous times to demand a cease fire and an end to funding of Israel's military..

I deplore the rise in antisemitic and anti-Palestininian violence and rhetoric. I equally abhor using antisemitism as a cudgel to supress free speech under the onslaught of Israeli propaganda.

Finally, Donald Trump must be kept off the ballot. It is definitely pro-democracy to enforce the Constitution. It sets the worst possible precedent to present voters with unqualified candidates.

I loved the emotion you showed us. Thanks.

Rumble with Michael Moore, Best Episode thus far, Happy New Year! But Mr. Michael Moore, I beg of you to refrain from using the term "Carpet Bombing" and inflammatory language a step beyond Genocidal language; it not a matter of being first or last, but stepping up as a Veteran Peacekeeper on a Global Scale placed in Genocidal Regions of the World for the Nineties through to post-9/11 World: I am equally appalled, but the perceived information filters past Pro-Hamas channels. The missiles fly in Israel daily, civilians are targeted daily by every Iranian Government backed group, and could fill your ears with actual informed opinion, but the point you're making is sound Mr. Michael Moore yet it is the extreme language the message is lost. I take my leave with an absolute appreciation for Mr. Michael Moore and his Fans', I am a big Fan, just take the time to be properly informed.

Happy New Year Michael! I also believe that the vast majority of Americans are not maga trumpers...many rational repubs have left the party...so there are fewer of them. Biden does not inspire...but another round of trump will get rational people out to vote. They will hold their noses and vote for the only candidate who still believes in our democratic republic. The repubs who left are registering as independents...I saw a stat that 20% of the registered voters are now independent. So I am keeping my fingers crossed and have built my own list of what I will do to ensure that the ideals stated in our constitution continue beyond 2024.
