Michael, only the Jewish people can save Israel!

Only the American people can save America!

Netanyahu and the leader of Hamas are the ones who need to come to a peace agreement!

Biden is a good decent humanitarian!

He is not the cause of this war…

None of us want this War! Nobody wants any war

Except Dictators!!

We too are in a crisis .. with a defendant who wants to be a Dictator!

Silence is not Violence.. Silence is apathy!

The division in these Universities is sad..

They put up that sign .. as they spread antisemitism

And Jewish students are at risk!

Division brings more Division!

Both Jewish students and Palestinians are against this War!

We need to get our hostages!

Get out of the Middle Eastern War!

We will never understand the thinking

Of the Middle East!

We have a war going on here

Between each

Other!

In the name of Love

Peace will come!

The UAW‘s successes are to be celebrated BUT Volkswagen and Mercedes are two German auto makers with excellent years long relations with their unions who also have seats on the boards. So for both companies there is nothing to fear from unionisation.

They are used to it and think it normal.

Just sayin‘. 😊

Michael- Your use of "apartheid" and "genocide" are simply wrong. Non-Jews living in Israel have the same legal rights as Jews, including the right to vote. Genocide is defined as actions with the intent to destroy all members of of a nation or national or ethnic group. If there is any party seeking that, it is Hamas, which wants to destroy Israel and kill all the Jews. Hamas would like to kill all Jews, but can't. Israel could kill all Palestinians, but doesn't. Israel has gone too far in its response to October 7, but the provocation was great. To recklessly use the word "genocide" against a nation of Jews who were the victims of one of the worst genocides in human history is outrageous. Israel is vulnerable to criticism, but this language in unfair.

Someone please help me understand why Biden seems to be impotent in trying to resolve this humanitarian crisis in Gaza. I know there are pressures from the powerful right-wing Jewish lobby in the US. The Biden people know that there is a potential for the loss of the vote of voters under 30. Are they making the calulation that not enough young people will decide not to vote or the youth vote is not critical? I have heard polling figures that although the media is making a big deal of the conflict in Gaza and the loss of life and destruction, that most Americans, when asked what the issues that are most important to them, put the conflict in Gaza at the bottom of the list.

Please help me understand, Michael, that if a large percentage of Israelis, many of which dislike and even hate Netanyahu, still believe that his handling of the Gaza war had the right amount of agressiveness, how Biden can dictate policy to Israel without cutting of military aid. Only a small fraction of the Israeli public believe that the policies of the IDF are too violent. And over 40% of Israelis actually believe that the IDF is not aggressive enough. And given the fact the over 2 million Israelis live in occupied territory illegally, one third of the population of Israel, that there is little chance that Netanyahu will change course without the US making military aid conditional on ending the bombing and allowing the necessary aid to belequered Palestinians to reach them and actively seeking a ceasefire and the return of the hostages.

Add to this that the three leaders of Hamas are living in luxury in Qatar and have an estimated net worth of over $11 billion dollars. What hope is there for peace in Gaza. Nobody seems to give a rat;s ass about the Palestinians living, or more accurately, dying in Gaza. They are pawns in an international business game that is run like a business by terrorist groups, the countries like Iran who support them, and the billionaires who live in luxury far away from the suffering.

To continue this war suits Netanyahu as it keeps him in power. It suits the Israelis living in the occupied territories. It suits the leaders of terrorist groups who have become wealthy at the expense of the very people they claim they want to protect. It suits Iran because it weakens the influence of the United States and other countries who would like to see a peaceful solution to the complex problems in the Middle East.

Add to this that without Israel, the Arab states would still be involved in endless wars among themselves and different groups vye for power and their share of the money that flows into the region to support their conflicts.

I think we all agree that the killing should stop, that the Palestinians deserve to be abe to live and support themselves and their families in peace and prosperity alongside the Israelis. But even among the Palestinians, the fighr for freedom was lost when Hamas was able to defeat the Palestiian Authority. Right now an alternative to Hamas does not exist and will not exist without the help of an international peacekeeping force. And there is no guarantee that could even be achieved.

A highly placed goverment official in the Obama administration shared the fact the Israelis never take seriously the attempts at mitigating the conflicts in the Middle East. Only when forced by a shutoff of aid have they ever bowed to the wishes of the US goverment. But the truth is the Israelis have always acted on what they felt was in their best interests and care little for the politics in America or any other country. They believe that if they do not act in their own interests despite the voices all around the world who condemn their actions, that to they will not survive.

So the ultimate question is that given the reality on the ground and in diplomatic circles that the only current solution is for Biden to threaten to pull the plug on military aid to israel without some meaningful concessions in the handling of the war in Gaza and the support of humanitarian interventions, what is the real reason that Biden stubbornly refuses to take the only action that would bring an end to the suffering of non-combatant Palestinians in Gaza?

We all know that Biden has done great things in his Presidency for average Americans, for the Ukranians in a life and death struggle to save their democracy from the incursions by Russia. What is preventing him from taking it to Netanyahu and his war cabinet and to the israeli people by holding back aid?

I wish someone would give me an answer that make sense and connects all the dots? The future of our democracy in the US may depend on our ability to find a way to end the suffering in Gaza. If Trump finds a way to get re-elected because a large block of voters refuse to vote, then everything we have all worked for to this point will be lost and what is happening in Gaza will be repeated all over the planet.

One only hopes that in the background there are serious negotiations proceeding in good faith. But with the cast of characters as stated above, it seems unlikely that anything less than a miracle will dramatically change the current situation. I am waiting, hoping, that in the next few weeks that the Biden administration will announce a deal for a ceasefire.

Michael, I am shocked and ashamed at the comments immediately below me. How can they listen to your entire podcast and respond the way they do? The protesters are, except for one or two people maybe, who don't belong there, NOT ANTISEMITIC! WE HAVE TO STOP THE KILLING OF INNOCENT PEOPLE! You've put it very clearly. And Biden has to stop funding the genocide. Everything you said was right on the money. I'm so glad that Netsy Yahoo is worried that the ICC may have him arrested. Oh, the thought is wonderful! I'll write President Biden and tell him NOT to send the Marines to prevent the arrest of Bibi. Whom is Biden for in this conflict, anyway? Israel is not our ally. It does not serve the Jewish people, and many, many Jewish people know that. Jewish tradition has tikkun olam, meaning "repair the world." It also says that if you save one life, you save the entire world.

I, too am confused on Biden's inaction. I love the protesters and feel the truth in the old adage-"It skips a generation." I sse the grandchildren challenging the norm on so many fronts and that is what I want. I just worry, as I have stated before, about Biden losing. Should we get a petition or an agreement between the protesters and the Biden voters to agree to rally after the election should Biden win again? Seriously, let's determine a common set of values we expect to be upheld or else-total shut down. I agree that let's get the house and Senate back no matter what.

We are not killing innocent people, in the broadest sense military investment through taxpayers dollars sent to Israel is contributing to the killing. Antisemitic is a catch all, but Truly the racism on the ground is palpable. The President is not funding what is happening, Congressional Lawmakers in their entirety push a budgetary allotment, and as The President signs an amount held up since October 2023, the far grander picture is a policy initiative started over five residencies of the Office of the Executive Branch, ago. Can the President, turn away, he has said to Netanyahu exactly what he can do, and Israeli Politics is listening accordingly to the Biden threat not telegraphed to the public, as a matter of card-point diplomacy. If even the insinuation of a card-game, it is serious, and far beyond Mr. Michael Moore's understanding; Biden is not playing for votes, he has been forefront in the negotiations acting better than any President of the United States of America, has.

Michael, I listened to you podcast today, how the Unions of the United States can possibly/ hopefully over the next four years set the USA on a correct direction of looking after its people. I’m in Australia, we have Medicare, (mostly free but really good health care), a national minimum wage of $25 per hour, time and a half on Saturdays, double time on Sundays! It’s been the norm for many decades! It seems to me, listening to you today, the Unions may be able to do more than any political party to bring both health care and a living wage to the citizens and residents of the USA! Keep using your voice, and if the worker’s unions in the USA stick to their four year plan their VOICE and increased membership will do more for the wellbeing of ordinary people, than the politicians can. Maybe they’ll force the politicians act , or a least the public demand more!! MAFA! M A Fair Again!! Maybe a blue cap:) all the best. R

Where is the outrage of the 1.8 million Muslims in internment camps in China. Why aren't the students protesting investments in China? Shouldn't schools divest of China because of human rights. The same students are learning Mandarin, for their future jobs. And $600,000 syrians murdered by Assad, and not a protest to be found! One in four children are starving in Haiti and 79,000 have suspected cases of Cholera since January. Where is the outrage, the protests, the anger? A fifth of people in Africa are suffering from chronic hunger and homeless.

Since when do students get to decide how pension funds are invested at the University they attend. I attended U of Michigan, and although I protested against Vietnam, ( peacefully and without disruption of classes), I was not privy to the financial filings of hte University. The columbia students have no right to ask the University to divest from Israel. Should they ask to divest of China? Any company that manufactures assault weapons.

Why are they not protesting the 42 Mass killings in 2023 in our own country. No, they have no interest in that.

MIchael, you are increasing the division. Joe Biden is a damn good President and you are helping a criminal get re-elected. How do you feel about that. Hamas is a terrorist organization and you are supporting them. They love to see the protests. Why should they return the hostages or have a cease fire. They are winning in public opinion and YOU ARE helping them.

Hamas murdered 1200 innocent people. There are many ARAB Israelis. They work, they are in the government, they live side by side with Isrealie's and they are citizens. Why not try interviewing some of them. You might be surprised.

Why is Egypt not allowing the children to cross into Egypt until this ends. Why isn't Jordon? Why not interview them? How about Saudi Arabia, who are not letting anyone into their country. Why? They do not want them, sad and awful as that may be. They want relations with Israel.

You are helping Hamas. Hamas, whose leaders are in Qatar and living in luxury. But it is Joe Bident hat should take the hit and resolve this. He is NOT the President of Israeli.

If Joe loses to a Criminal, who loves Putin and Xi , you will have as much responsibility as Joe does in stopping Netanyahu. Trump and Netanyahu are buddies. Trump will wipe Gaza out and build condos with his son-in-law. They do not even hide it.

You are not helping. You are causing more division and should be ashamed. You make it so simple, when it is so complex.

Sorry Michael,

Trickle down has not helped the working class in the last 100 years and is unlikely to help now. Unions that are doing well are generous and Unions under attack and contracting not so much. I speak as a construction organizer in both the "O" and "o" sense. Let's stick to fundamental working class issues. The people who create the wealth are the only people that should enjoy the wealth. All the others; take your inheritances and go to Mars. (I mean. you wore out your welcome at Sun City and the 7 storey ski hill in Dubai has gotten boring.)

PS: Any working class organizing is good.

My name is Ted Martin. I just finished writing a book about my first hand encounters with a morbidly corrupt federal judicial system. The book is titled: The Illusion of Justice and contains documented, incontrovertible proof of widespread systemic corruption in the District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Supreme Court, the Administrative Office of United States Courts, the Senate Judiciary Committee, and the U.S. Department of Justice.

The Supreme Court not only ignored two of the most egregious cases of judicial misconduct imaginable (my cases) but also an amicus brief by former Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Richard Posner in which he blows the whistle on rampant corruption in the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Judge Posner’s amicus brief is posted on the Supreme Court’s website at www.supremecourt.gov and can be accessed by typing in the following case number: Martin v. Living Essentials (Case No. 17-8352)

It will be painfully obvious to anyone who reads my book (or Judges Posner’s amicus brief) that the Supreme Court denies certiorari without even bothering to read the petitions submitted by the citizens of the United States. This obscene betrayal of the public trust is a clear-cut violation of every Justice’s judicial oath and a crime under federal law that is commonly referred to as honest services fraud.

In short, my book proves that the leaders of both the Republican and Democratic parties have been conspiring together to pack the courts with corrupt corporate judges who will never side with the American people. This was abundantly clear when Senator Chuck Schumer and the other Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee repeatedly refused to use irrefutable evidence of judicial misconduct by Amy Coney Barrett (a Republican nominee) at her Supreme Court confirmation hearing.

This bipartisan band of seditious conspirators also refused to address the underlying corruption in clear violation of their oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

The only difference between the two major political parties is the rhetoric. The special interest groups running this country don’t give a damn which bribe taking stooge you vote for or even if you vote at all. They have already successfully rigged every election by controlling “our” choices.

The leaders of both the Republican and Democratic parties have been caught red-handed conspiring to pack the courts with corrupt judges who will never side with you. If there was ever a reason to be a one issue voter, this is it. Besides, any politician caught lying about their fidelity to the Constitution and laws of the United States is obviously lying about everything—particularly their agenda.

Republicans push the corrupt corporate agenda. Democrats pretend to be opposed. Together, they sell their offices to the highest bidders. They foment war for the military industrial complex, promote racism for the prison industrial complex, refuse to restrict access to assault weapons for the gun manufactures, permit large quantities of toxic cancer causing chemicals to be dumped into our air, land, and water for the chemical manufactures, deny needed medical care to our country’s citizens for the health insurance and pharmaceutical industries, and turn a willful blind eye to the catastrophic effects of global warming for the fossil fuel industries. The list of their greed fueled crimes against humanity goes on and on.

Voting your current elected representatives out of office should be a no brainer. But, to make sure that they are not replaced with another batch of equally corrupt corporate stooges, we’re also going to have to take back both the Republican and Democratic parties and get the money out of politics.

While this may appear to be a daunting task, all we really need is a sound plan. After giving this matter some careful consideration, I have the following proposal: We agree to put aside all of our ideological differences and unite as Americans in support of the Constitution of the United States.

If you read my book, it really won’t be that difficult. You will know who the real enemy is and it certainly isn’t your fellow citizens. We just need to become one issue voters. Ignore their contrived wedge issues, bullshit talking points, and cringe worthy campaign ads. If they are not fighting tooth and nail to get the money out of politics—don’t legitimize them with your vote.

Seriously, if in doubt—throw them out. Besides, any government official who is not forcefully calling for the resignations of the corrupt leaders of their own political party is, by definition, violating their oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

Whether Republican or Democrat, a treasonous corporate criminal is a treasonous corporate criminal, they serve the same master and nothing is going to change until we get the money out of politics.

*You get the money out of politics by publically funding elections, banning all campaign contributions, and, in exchange for their broadcasting/operating licenses, requiring news organizations to give every candidate for public office an equal amount of free advertising space.

In the future, I may write a book titled: The Illusion of Journalism. But for now, I’m just going to say that the media is not going to help anyone blow the whistle on their partners in crime. In the past four years, I couldn’t find a single news organization that hadn’t sold us out.

All an honest journalist would have to do is read Judge Posner’s amicus brief to know that the courts are irretrievably corrupt. Reading my book will conclusively show that the courts are corrupt by design.

If you want a government that actually acts in your best interests, I urge you and everyone you know to read my book as soon as possible. You can get a digital copy of my book free of charge at the link below: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_vaMH1riLodzOfQn0kI7ow0RDrPM0NqE/view?usp=sharing
