Michael, Your sister sure captured your moment with the Pope. The photos are pure love and connection. II had never heard of this doctrine, but I will share the truth with others, I share your wish that the Pope eliminates this horrible doctrine.

I just finished watching THE AWFU L TRUTH, which I had never seen before. WOW. It is still so relevant to today. I watched SICKO again, and found it equally as powerful. I recommend everyone see these great works (and all the others) for the first time or again. All are at your library for free! Thank you, Michael, for keeping our eyes open.

Most of the sadomasochistic practices we witness destroying the quality of life on this planet have its origins in the worship of the Abrahamic war god. I join your Universal shoutout to Pope Francis and his co-Pope Benedict to erase The Doctrine of Discovery. Thanks Michael for your passionate plea for restorative social justice.

When I subscribed I thought your page was text based. I don't listen to podcasts. I can read much faster than I can hear. I'll continue to subscribe while hoping that transcripts of your podcasts will eventually become available.

Toward the bottom of the page it says:

"A full transcript of this episode will soon be available here."

And gives you a link to where you can find the transcript. So, yeah, you CAN read it.

I was so very moved by your talk. So much pain and hatred has been caused in the name of church and religion.

I never thought a country could survive capitalism We can see where greed has gotten us.

Thank you, Michael Moore, for all you do.

I read her complaint before your podcast- nothing is enough ever is it? Pope Francis is doing his best and even said this is only the first step. But celebrities are there at every moment to throw stones. Yes we would kill Jesus again - we can't even give this good pope credit.

I didn't know what the DOD was yes it should go away. He's doing hus best to not start WWIII in the church. People already hate him. Again he stated it's the first step.

Hi Michael,

In Peter Beinart's Substack newsletter today, he starts with a reference to Fahrenheit 9/11 and then later asks for some help from you (help for the country, not to him personally). Check it out: https://peterbeinart.substack.com/p/would-you-go-to-war-so-nancy-pelosi

As always, thanks for your work!

What a wonderful, heartfelt, truthful appreciation of the events of this period of time, Michael. As always, you are such a gift to me and so many others....You can still get through to Pope Francis - I know you can! You have done far more difficult "magic tricks" than that! Go for it!!

Thank you, Michael, for encouraging the Pope to do the right thing. There have been so many times, since I left the Catholic church in 2004, that I've wished I could return but it can never happen it seems. It makes me sad.

In 1986 I was the head usher at the Ellington Theatre on the night of the Canadian Premiere of “The Mission.” I met the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, and the head Jesuit for Canada. He was so smart, so charismatic and generous with his time that I count him as one of maybe half a dozen people that I feel grateful to have known. It is also one of my favorite movies. I say this because I want to be clear. I don’t hate “the church.” Having said that, I believe without exaggeration that God (and Allah - same guy after all) and organized religion are responsible for more death, more carnage and destruction and injustice than ALL OTHER causes combined. Now he's gonna start killing babies again because zygotes are more important than women with lives and jobs and families. When we invent a time machine, the first thing we gotta do is go back to the Middle East a couple of thousand years ago and beat the ever loving SHIT out of the guy who put up his hand and said “I know how to control our peasants and slaves. We convince them they go to a paradise called …how 'bout “Heaven” when they die. But to get in you gotta follow these arbitrary rules, let's call them commandments. 10 seems like a nice round number. Or, if yo're a crappy human being but you've got the scratch, you can murder and covet and say “God damn” all you want. Just slip the Pope an envelope on the QT. And my best idea yet… no birth control. Gotta keep those serfs coming. Seriously, let's go find that guy and CUT THE BITCH!

It’s hard to be a Catholic, but there are so many people I admire and respect, you and the Pope among them, that I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. I’m starting to understand the great mystery, which is not really completely understandable, through my beautiful Catholic faith and understanding.

Thank you for this informative podcast.
