Michael, as much as I look forward to all the things that you say will happen in 2023, after we kick some Republican butt on Tuesday, I most look forward to the day that we forget about MAGA. And let me add, I most look forward to the day Trump is not everyone's lead story, and we forget what he looked like, what he sounded like, and that he was ever POTUS. It's easy to forget he was POTUS, because he didn't do a darned thing as president, except campaign for his 2020 re-election bid. It seems as though we had no president for those four years.

Mike, this will be awesome if everyone votes Democratic tomorrow and for democracy. My only concern are the ridiculous ads the Republican Party is running scaring people away to vote. Per Jamie Harrison last evening, these ads are funded by dark money along with polls slanted towards the Republican candidates. You only need to look at the source of the polls to understand that these polls are slanted and incorrect. I will be shocked if John Fetterman does not win. Most legitimate polls have him ahead of Oz. As for Lee Zeldin winning, no way! The Marist Poll has him losing by 10 points. The legitimate polls are more realistic than the nonsense polls the GOP are proclaiming on MSM.
On a positive note, Jamie Harrison also stated he was confident of major wins due to the high voting turnout that has voted already, mainly democrats and independents. This is something all of us need to hold on to as hope that the Blue Tsunami will become a reality this week.
In the interim, relax, avoid MSM reports and watch a good movie or TV show until the polls closed.
All of what you write is doable, completely, totally doable, sensible and morally right. It is so obvious that we can do this. It is also obvious that we can think that you make this too simple.
To believe that common sense and strong intent can do this seems like a far away dream. That's what we're told. And that's the biggest lie. We can, if we just believe it or just lean in that direction, it will happen. Not without effort and some sacrifice, but we are on the verge of that much goodness.
Hi Mike, thanks for your encouraging note. I confess that I am fearful given the lies promulgated by Republicans and their bag of dirty tricks. To really upend the common wisdom that the party in the White House gets thumped or shellacked or the like in the Mid-Terms. I was pondering it all and then realized that the younger generation, most of whom have only a cell phone and no landline--therefore they are not in some phone directory--may well be the answer to our prayers. Actually, I am at the other end of the age span, and rarely answer numbers I do not recognize.
One note to which I hope you will give some attention. Democrats are terrible at getting the word out about our accomplishments. The Republicans are complaining about President Biden, but look at the major legislation he has pushed through in two years, stuff that will help ordinary Americans. We never hear about it. Meanwhile the Republicans are shooting barbs and questioning the President's competence. Even if the blue tsunami comes to pass, we need to get with the program and tout our accomplishments.
One minor correction. Medicare is paid by contributions form workers and employers in the Social Security tax. Of course self employed folks like you and I have to pay both haves. I have Medicare coverage which by and large is awesome, so paying the small tax is money well spent. But employers and employees do in fact share the cost.

1. Trump is finally indicted for stealing top secret documents. He is tried and sentenced. His appeals fail. He begins serving his time behind bars February 1. He looks bad in orange, as it clashes with his complexion.
2. Tucker Carlson is sued for slander by a group of recent immigrants. He loses. His punishment requires him to walk from Guatemala to the southern border of Texas and do what all immigrants are forced to do: wait for months to be processed by Border Patrol. His application for entry into the country is denied.
