I'm a 67 year old dude from Illinois - spent Saturday knocking on doors in Milwaukee. How can you not enjoy talking about the Harris-Walz choice! I will be back - join us!
Hello. I created the list below and sent it out to friends and family all over the country. I hope these links work after I post this, and I hope this list is helpful to you as well. I am going to post this list each time Michael sends out one of his missives, adding to the list whenever I learn of more options to share.
I welcome your comments to my post that make me and everyone else aware of any other groups/organizations that have campaigns or mobilization efforts going to prevent Trump from getting elected.
Experts who study these things have seen that such simple actions as personal postcards, phone calls, or texts to specifically identified voters can and do make a difference. The organizations below are either the experts or are groups that partner with the experts. Some of these organizations promote who to vote for, while others just encourage infrequent voters to vote, knowing that the people they contact typically vote Democratic. All of these groups can benefit from your time and/or your donations (some of which can be tax-deductible).
The Environmental Voter Project identifies millions of non-voting environmentalists and turns them into consistent voters. I have done postcards and phonebanks with them.
Third Act and Elders Climate Action primarily recruit Seniors as volunteers, but all are welcome. Their campaigns include helping young people get registered to vote.
Seed the Vote teams up with organizations like People’s Action and Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) with Phonebanking campaigns of volunteers calling voters in Swing States.
The Civics Center organizes high school voter registration. A huge event they do is High School Voter Registration Week, which will be Sept. 23-27, 2024. They can use volunteer help with that and other events.
The Arizona Dream Act Coalition provides assistance to DREAMERS. They also contact legal Latino voters and mixed-status families to help those who can legally vote to register to vote and then encourage them to vote.
As Michael has shared, Vote.org will give everyone all the info they need to register and vote — and to double check their registration: https://www.vote.org/
VoteFromAbroad.org helps US citizens living abroad register to vote and request absentee ballots.
David French is a conservative opinion columnist at “The New York Times.” Commonly voting for Republicans, on 8/19/24 French did an oral piece for the NY Times on why he is voting for Harris. These links go to an AI-generated transcript of the oral piece and directly to the oral piece:
There were several Republican speakers at the Democratic National Convention, explaining why they are Republicans who are choosing to support Harris instead of Trump in this election. One of them was former Georgia Lieutenant Governor Geoff Duncan: https://www.c-span.org/video/?c5129329/lt-gov-geoff-duncan
Former US Attorney General Loretta Lynch and over 40 former DOJ Officials thank Pres. Biden and endorse VP Kamala Harris for President of the United States:
Michel , I’m doing all I can and am part of a local Group Chapter that’s seriously working tirelessly I’ve never seen such dedication! I think Democrats are more excited then ever but no one can count our Chickens before they are hatched ! The thing I’m worried about is the Supreme Court who’s Trump like Jutrices don’t care about Fairness if they are Trump Appointed ones so I think and you might agree that we have to over power with Millions of Votes ❤️🇺🇸
My name is Ted Martin. I just finished writing a book about my first hand encounters with a morbidly corrupt federal judicial system. The book is titled: The Illusion of Justice and contains documented, incontrovertible proof of widespread systemic corruption in the District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Supreme Court, the Administrative Office of United States Courts, the Senate Judiciary Committee, and the U.S. Department of Justice.
The Supreme Court not only ignored two of the most egregious cases of judicial misconduct imaginable (my cases) but also an amicus brief by former Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Richard Posner in which he blows the whistle on rampant corruption in the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
Judge Posner’s amicus brief is posted on the Supreme Court’s website at www.supremecourt.gov and can be accessed by typing in the following case number: Martin v. Living Essentials (Case No. 17-8352)
It will be painfully obvious to anyone who reads my book (or Judges Posner’s amicus brief) that the Supreme Court denies certiorari without even bothering to read the petitions submitted by the citizens of the United States. This obscene betrayal of the public trust is a clear-cut violation of every Justice’s judicial oath and a crime under federal law that is commonly referred to as honest services fraud.
In short, my book proves that the leaders of both the Republican and Democratic parties have been conspiring together to pack the courts with corrupt corporate judges who will never side with the American people. This was abundantly clear when Senator Chuck Schumer and the other Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee repeatedly refused to use irrefutable evidence of judicial misconduct by Amy Coney Barrett (a Republican nominee) at her Supreme Court confirmation hearing.
This bipartisan band of seditious conspirators also refused to address the underlying corruption in clear violation of their oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”
The only difference between the two major political parties is the rhetoric. The special interest groups running this country don’t give a damn which bribe taking stooge you vote for or even if you vote at all. They have already successfully rigged every election by controlling “our” choices.
The leaders of both the Republican and Democratic parties have been caught red-handed conspiring to pack the courts with corrupt judges who will never side with you. If there was ever a reason to be a one issue voter, this is it. Besides, any politician caught lying about their fidelity to the Constitution and laws of the United States is obviously lying about everything—particularly their agenda.
Republicans push the corrupt corporate agenda. Democrats pretend to be opposed. Together, they sell their offices to the highest bidders. They foment war for the military industrial complex, promote racism for the prison industrial complex, refuse to restrict access to assault weapons for the gun manufactures, permit large quantities of toxic cancer causing chemicals to be dumped into our air, land, and water for the chemical manufactures, deny needed medical care to our country’s citizens for the health insurance and pharmaceutical industries, and turn a willful blind eye to the catastrophic effects of global warming for the fossil fuel industries. The list of their greed fueled crimes against humanity goes on and on.
Voting your current elected representatives out of office should be a no brainer. But, to make sure that they are not replaced with another batch of equally corrupt corporate stooges, we’re also going to have to take back both the Republican and Democratic parties and get the money out of politics.
While this may appear to be a daunting task, all we really need is a sound plan. After giving this matter some careful consideration, I have the following proposal: We agree to put aside all of our ideological differences and unite as Americans in support of the Constitution of the United States.
If you read my book, it really won’t be that difficult. You will know who the real enemy is and it certainly isn’t your fellow citizens. We just need to become one issue voters. Ignore their contrived wedge issues, bullshit talking points, and cringe worthy campaign ads. If they are not fighting tooth and nail to get the money out of politics—don’t legitimize them with your vote.
Seriously, if in doubt—throw them out. Besides, any government official who is not forcefully calling for the resignations of the corrupt leaders of their own political party is, by definition, violating their oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”
Whether Republican or Democrat, a treasonous corporate criminal is a treasonous corporate criminal, they serve the same master and nothing is going to change until we get the money out of politics.
*You get the money out of politics by publicly funding elections, banning all campaign contributions, and, in exchange for their broadcasting/operating licenses, requiring news organizations to give every candidate for public office an equal amount of free advertising space.
In the future, I may write a book titled: The Illusion of Journalism. But for now, I’m just going to say that the media is not going to help anyone blow the whistle on their partners in crime. In the past four years, I couldn’t find a single news organization that hadn’t sold us out.
All an honest journalist would have to do is read Judge Posner’s amicus brief to know that the courts are irretrievably corrupt. Reading my book will conclusively show that the courts are corrupt by design.
How many other Substacks are promoting your book on?
Republicans and Democrats are polar opposites.
Republicans sure know the difference between Republicans and Democrats.
I think that the true agenda of people like you and others on the far left is to convince young people not to vote at all and I call that voter suppression.
Let's see.
Democrat strategy for winning is to get the vote out.
Republican strategy for winning is voter suppression.
I think that those on the far Left aren't really on the far Left
Or it wouldn't be so f___ing important to them to convince others to throw away their votes on a third party candidate that can't win.
And it wouldn't be so f___ing important to them to convince others that America will stay the same regardless of who wins so why bother voting at all.
Answer me this.
If there is no difference between us, then why do Republicans hate us so much?
And if there really is no difference why waste any energy trying to persuade people away from voting for us.
You guys are being poisoned against Democrats by Right Wingers disguising themselves as Lefties.
Instead of working for Dems everyday I will promote peace something that neither the Ds or the Rs do. If you believe in non violence then neither one of the two major parties are for you.
If you want us to stop being militarily involved in the Middle East, it makes sense for you to be involved in environmental causes aimed at breaking America's addiction to fossil fuels.
We need to switch to renewables, such as wind, solar, geothermal, and maybe we should even reconsider nuclear energy.
First of all that is just a crappy thing to say. I am so sick of people saying if you vote third party you are voting for Trump. It actually is not true in my state which is IL but genocide is a red line and I would vote for peace no matter where I lived. In her interview Harris let us know that she will continue Biden’s foreign policy. If you can stomach genocide and never ending war vote for the duopoly. I am frankly surprised Michael Moore can look the other way on this one.
Well my lifelong 91 year old Republican parents have said they will vote for the lady. My Japanese Mother said “the other guy has too many girlfriends.”
is this a joke Michael? To show a photo of Walz with His Holiness The Dalai Lama?~~~~~seems to be a stretch to me~ it would be nice if Walz was much more like His Holiness The Dalai Lama.....in reality he is not like His Holiness The Dalai Lama...quite the opposite~
You know that Walz is a supporter of Israel.....as is Kamala.....and that Walz funneled his state's pension funds into companies involved with Israel~ you know that~~I am sure you know that~~~ also a group of Palestinians living in "his" state asked to meet with Walz...and he refused to meet with them..........voting for Jill~
Jill Stein might have a chance if she ran for Prime Minister of Denmark, but she has zero chance of winning here. She knows it and that gives her the freedom to be idealistic on the economy, health care, foreign aid, military spending, taxation, guns, immigration, etc. Even if she could win, she would need super majorities in Congress in order to fulfill her agenda. Voting for Jill, at least in a swing state, is essentially a vote for Trump.
For all of my life, the US has supported Israel the country. I believe most Americans support Israel's right to exist and to defend itself against threats to their very existence. There are quite a few Jews in my community and lately I see a number of them sporting "Never Again" T-shirts in reference to the Holocaust and now 7-October-2023. I have a friend that was just a child in 1940 and he bears the wrist tattoo from the concentration camps, so the recent attack stirred painful memories.
On the other hand there's Netanyahu, Israel's Trump. I do not support the slaughter of Palestinian non combatants under his regime, nor do any of the Jews I know personally. Those that do survive become tomorrow's terrorists. Kamala Harris has denounced the indiscriminate killing in her acceptance speech and other speeches on the campaign trail. She does not have the freedom to be idealistic if she intends to win. When this election is over, the winner will be one of two people. If Trump wins, he will double down on aid to Netanyahu and neither man will ever be held to account for their crimes. If Kamala wins, I believe she'll have the power and hopefully the will, to stand up to Netanyahu.
Likely nothing I say will change your mind, but maybe others who stumble across this will give it some thought. I had my fill of Trump and his minions the first time around. When he incited the riot (insurrection imho) on January 6 2021, that should have been the hot red line that erased any doubt the man should hold the most powerful office in the world ever again.
A friend of mine who had lived in Germany during the late 30's/40's, was hunted because she was Jewish...but she made it out with her parents.... not for the faint of heart.....We will see how Jill does....are you that good at predicting the future? you have heard about the Uncommitted voters right? what Israel is doing (with the support of the US$$$$$$$$ and Weapons,.....is committing Genocide~~doesn't that bother you?????? England just put an embargo on sending "certain weapons" to Israel.....they will still ship "other" weapons of mass destruction ..I don't know how that came about~~at least an embargo on "some weapons"~~~~~you can vote for the person you want....if you want Kamala and Walz you will get more of the same....warfare, genocide, control of congress by AIPAC/big business.. both Kamala and Walz are all in for supporting the genocide of Palestinians. Walz...as governor of his state has been investing the state pension fund into businesses in his state that trade with Israel~ ...... Israel's economy is in tatters....Israelis want Net out~~~~you might want to check out how many people around the globe are supporting Palestinians... Israel's economy is tanking...100,000 Israelis have left Israel permanently ~and many more want to leave... many countries have an embargo on sending goods to Israel and/or accepting goods from Israel
trading with Israel is not happening except for dollars and weapons from the US~~~ Kamala may have "denounced ~~~Hillary was so confident that she would win in 2016.....but she didn't win did she~ She lost because she refused to go into the states with large populations of Palestinians and Muslims.....she won the popular vote..by a small margin..she lost the Electoral College..because she didn't campaign in those states.....I don't think T-rump really has a chance of winning...but ....I don't know....I hope the future brings Peace..anyway vote for who you want~ let's see what happens...a couple of months to go..... the cherry on the top is the US is a trillion dollars in dept...I have heard from pundits that there is no way it can be paid~ you can decided what to do with your taxes (going to the genocide).....or to not let your $$$ go to genocide~ Peace~
I have met the Dalai Lama~ when in his presence I felt very at peace...The Dalai Lama is gentle and kind and has a great sense of humor...
I have read about Walz...I have seen him in utube videos....he has accepted to be Kamala's Vice President if she wins....
the two things I have heard of Walz in his being governor...is as I stated in my previous post~ is that he refused to speak with Palestinians who live in the State he governs...and Walz invests the state pension funds in companies that trade with Israel~ Both Kamala and Walz will, I think, continue to support Israel...and allow Israel to continue the genocide of Palestinians~ Israel, in the past few days, has begun it's assault on Palestinians living in the West Bank~May there be Peace~ including some info on The 14th Dalai Lama~https://www.nobelprize.org/prizes/peace/1989/lama/facts/
You can google Governor Tim Walz and find info on him....Open Secrets is one site to get info on Walz~ Keep on stay strong~
Is complicity in genocide not enough of a reason to lose your support for the Democratic party? What if these liars were caught red-handed conspiring to pack the courts with demonstrably corrupt judges who will never side with the American people? You know, conspiring to commit treason.
My name is Ted Martin. I just finished writing a book about my first hand encounters with a morbidly corrupt federal judicial system. If the Dems loose it's all on them~~~~it is not on the Peoples' shoulders~ remember Hillary????? I voted for her~~~~~~ she didn't campaign in states with large numbers of Muslims and Palestinians~although her campaign managers urged her to~ Hillary won the popular vote by a small margin....she lost the electoral vote all by herself~ it is the Electoral Vote that but Trump in the WH...he campaigned in the states Hillary avoided against the wishes of her campaign~ The BIG MONEY behind elections...the Wealthy/ Big Industries~AIPAC....and other PACs ....take a look at that~~~~we do not have a Democracy~
We have the closest thing there is to Democracy that any country is ever gonna get
I remember Hillary,
She lost because Russian trolls and BOTs spread disinformation about her on the internet nonstop creating an echo chamber.
They kept calling her Crooked Hillary with literally no proof that she was crooked.
It didn't matter that there was no proof though.
Say something enough times and people accept it as established fact.
Just like when George W. kept saying Saddam Hussein and 911 in the same sentence until eventually Americans believed there was a connection between Saddam Husein and 911 when there wasn't one.
The Ukraine War greatly benefits american corporations (Monsanto, Cargil, Dupont) who bought up Ukraine farmland at a cheap price as a part of loan conditions put upon Ukraine when the USA loaned them military weapons. Blackrock benefits too since they own parts of Monsanto, Cargil and Dupont and the military supply contractors.
What else can you do between now and Election Day? Take a few minutes on this holiday to think about it.
Get on the phone. Get on e-mail. Get on Twitter or FB or Instagram. Send a carrier pigeon. Tell someone who is elected and in office what you think. These 535 are the only ones out of 250 million in the electorate who can actually do anything about guns, the deficit, the border or any issue that is important to you.
I am not saying don't vote or make signs or talk to your neighbors about Kamala. It is called multi-tasking.
It only takes a few minutes and best of all..it doesn’t cost any money.
We don’t need money in politics. We just need people to participate.
It is seemingly impossible. What I am talking about is making big changes. It was 100 years from the time the first women started march for the vote until the 19th Amendment was passed. It could take this long, and then again, if you tell at least one person and they tell at least one person it will spread as fast as COVID (except this is a good thing) and within a few weeks the seemingly impossible could happen.
Just as important as electing Harris re-electing Democratic senators and representatives, ensuring that both houses have Democratic/Democratic Socialist/progressive representatives (e.g. Dennis Kucinich ) and electing Democratic/progressive Governors and state legislators. if you get a majority in both houses you can get the PRO bill passed and legislation against Gerrymandering and voter suppression. Success to your efforts from the Peoples' Democratic Monarchy of Canuckistan.
The Dems want to support Ukraine and help them fend off annexation by Russia.
The far right wants to give Netanyahu and Putin the go ahead to take over Gaza and Ukraine.
Netanyahu will not make Peace with GAZA until after the elections, because this conflict is hurting incumbent president Joe Biden and by extension, is hurting Kamala.
The Right has pulled some dirty tricks with foreign policy before, in order to hurt the Democrat incumbent presidents.
Nixon sabotaged Peace efforts by Lynden B. Johnson to end the war in Vietnam.
Nixon established a back channel to the Vietnamese government and told them that if they didn't sign a peace treaty with Johnson that Johnson would lose the election to Nixon
and that once Nixon was president he would then give them a better deal than Johnson.
The strategy worked.
Nixon became the next president and then broke his promise to the Vietnamese Government despite the fact that they had already held up their end of the deal.
Jimmy Carter was similarly sabotaged by the Right during the Iranian Hostage Crisis.
Iran was told to keep the hostages until after the presidential election was over so that Carter would not win a second term and Reagan would be the next president,
and that when Reagan became president, he would supply Iran with weapons in secret.
It worked.
Carter lost the election, and when Reagan became president, he kept his promise and did indeed secretly supply weapons to Iran.
I'm pretty sure that the meeting Netanyahu and Trump recently had with each other at Mar-a-Lago, a similar deal was made.
Whatever you do don't agree to a ceasefire until after the election, and then I'll be dictator of America and I will support you in installing yourself as dictator of Israel.
And then you can wipe out all of the Palestinians if that is what you want. I won't object.
It will probably work.
Don't believe me?
Do some research
All of this info is available now because the documents that hold this information have recently been declassified.
Trump and Netanyahu are the reason a ceasefire has not been agreed to by Netanyahu.
Biden is a complete and total warmonger. He could have stopped the genocide by not sending the weapons. He and the UK opposed peace negotiations with Russia. Ukraine was never going to beat Russia and now the country is in ruins and stands to lose more territory. This was all so Biden could weaken Russia. What he has done is put is closer to a nuclear war than we have ever been.
So when Russia annexed Crimea, and Barack Obama, did nothing to stop it because believed Putin when he said, and I paraphrase here, "We have no plans to invade Crimea, we are just putting all of our military stuff at the border as a military training exercise"
And when Volodymyr Zelensky asked Trump for weapons to defend itself from Russia, because Russia was doing the same thing on it's border with Ukraine, all of that is on Biden and Kamala?
And when Iran who is very tight with Russia supplied training, money and weapons to Hamas, all of that is on Biden and Kamala?
And when Biden in good faith with Netanyahu, resupplied Israel with weapons after long negotiations and a promise from Netanyahu that he would negotiate a cease fire, a hostage exchange and, allow Palestinians to get out of harms way, then Netanyahu broke his side of the deal, that is all on Biden and Kamala.
When Netanyahu and Donald Trump made a deal for Netanyahu to not agree to a cease fire until after the election, that is all on Biden and Harris.
Because Biden and Harris have absolutely nothing to gain by having the war in GAZA or the war in Ukraine continue.
I'm an expat living in Panama. Knocking on doors and yard signs aren't an option, so I asked every other expat I know who votes blue, 1) Are you registered? and 2) Do you know how to get an absentee ballot from the county where you last lived? Then I show them how if they don't know. Everybody I asked is voting, even if they lived in a red state. Nobody is sitting this one out.
Been hearing John Lennon's voice singing "Revolution" in my head for a few days now. Paul, George and Ringo in the mix too. John wrote it in 1968 in India. What an evolution. 4 years since Ed Sullivan, and then this life stuff within finding expression from, among other things, time spent in another culture.
I'm moved by evolutions, be they public or private, my own or others, and they encourage me to hold my Peace as I participate in life. Life is change for sure. Cheers.
I'm a 67 year old dude from Illinois - spent Saturday knocking on doors in Milwaukee. How can you not enjoy talking about the Harris-Walz choice! I will be back - join us!
Thank you for all you always do to light a fire 🔥 in our hearts, minds and souls.
And thank you for making ‘Roger & Me’ available today!!! You and a very gifted and very kind human being. ☮️

Thanks, Roy for putting together this extensive list of PRO- ACTIVE steps ppl can do instead of pissing and moaning @ both sides being violent.
wow--thank you for doing all the digging for us! something here for everyone!!
If you want a government that actually acts in your best interests, I urge you and everyone you know to read my book as soon as possible. You can get a digital copy of my book free of charge at the link below: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_vaMH1riLodzOfQn0kI7ow0RDrPM0NqE/view?usp=sharing
Duuuude….
"NOT VOTING"or voting for any 3rd party candidate is a vote for the felon & his side-kick.
Where ever you live, there you are!
There are a number of wonderful local agencies who need volunteers to promote peace.
Roy, thank you for posting the many "can do" options to work toward "non-violence."
Not as crappy as saying that there is no difference between Democrats and Republicans
In the foreign policy area that is sadly true. Show me how they differ.
I am with you!!!!!!!!!!!
One side of my family is Jewish and most of them support Jewish Voices for Peace.
That is beautiful~~~~~~
I haven't met Walz or the Dalai Lama.
What are they Like?
May there be Peace~
Did you get your picture taken with the Dalai Lama?
I did not get my picture taken with the Dalai Lama~ is that important to you~?
Michael,
Is complicity in genocide not enough of a reason to lose your support for the Democratic party? What if these liars were caught red-handed conspiring to pack the courts with demonstrably corrupt judges who will never side with the American people? You know, conspiring to commit treason.

Thank you for sharing that~
Thank you
What else can you do between now and Election Day?
We don't need money in politics, but it seems next to impossible to keep money out of politics.
Thanks for responding. Here is my website: www.nationalfinancialplan.com
The biggest most harmful lie that is hurting America is that there is no difference between the Democrats and the Republicans.
The difference between the two parties is huge.
They are practically polar opposites of each other.
As far as foreign policy there is really no difference.
Not True at all
The Dems want to support Ukraine and help them fend off annexation by Russia.
They are both narcissistic monsters.
But some of the other players do.
Thanks Mike and all,
Lovely day for contemplation.
Cheers.
