I’ve been glued to media since her speech. I was feeling down and hopeless here in Florida, but now there is so much energy and excitement! It’s finally happening! It’s happening! We are going to have a female president!

very well, the owners of the media got what they wanted. I'm going to cut my subscription those media outlets who called for Biden to drop ( Do not bother on asking: Mickey is in that list too). Obviously, I'm going TO SUPPORT ANY TICKET WHO HAS KAMALA AT THE TOP, ( if Kamala is not at the top of the ticket the Democrat Party can kiss my vote goodbye).

Luis, another person here told you yesterday that Kamala will win the nomination - she has enough committed delegates. Yet, here you are again, cutting and pasting this same comment. And if you are referring to Mike here as Mickey - again, why are you still here? And what's with the disrespect? He also called for Biden to drop out. It is not helpful for folks to repeatedly cut and paste the same comment over and over again. And you are not the only one. You seem a bit fake to me for several reasons. Well, as long as you're giving Mike money, I'm good - at least you are paying to troll!

Dear Cindy: Where is the disrespect? As you should know the American voter has the attention span of a fruit fly and only repeating the same statement over and over again can they understand. Now, if I'm still here is none of your business or do you have a problem with my freedom of speech? Besides I already paid for the whole month and I, intended to do the most of it. Have a great day and please go and freaking spend your energy on the Republicans-Supreme Court-Media Conglomerate. xoxo

When I watched this yesterday and heard Kamala begin by defining Trump and saying "I know Trump's Type" I started to cry. I worked for Bernie Sanders campaign in 2016 and I could not hardly breathe when Trump won that election. I have talked for years since about Trump and how I grew up around guys like Trump. I am 74 now, worked for many years as a nurses aide in health care facilities. Poverty wages.. I never had health care insurance, nor did my kids. Poverty wages. In our small town in the late 60's and 70's and 80's and 90's poverty was the way of our lives, while we watched guys like Trump assault us in our youth and make fun of us afterwards with other bullies just like them...we just called them Bullies, under our breath, so they wouldn't hear us and bully us more.. When I see and hear Trump, I see and hear those same guys from my past. Bullies. Yesterday I ordered a "Kamala for President 2024" button online for 3.dollars. When I get it am wearing it everyday. When I get my Soc Security in Aug, am ordering more buttons and a shirt. " Kamala for Pres" and am out the door to do work for this campaign . In 1994, my sister who was gay and bullied by guys like Trump , ran away and joined the Heavens Gate Cult and in 1997 committed suicide in that cult in San Diego Calif. along with over 30 other people . It was a Cult of Personality...they believed in Applewhite and they lost everything.

I'm so sorry that you lost your sister. But I'm grateful that you're here, and telling your story. It's through our stories that we connect to our fellow human beings, hopefully helping them to change our country for the better. Thank you!

Thanks. It is hard for everyone when stuff happens to take a loved one away too early. I feel bad for all the families damaged by gun violence, drug overdoses, families separated at the boarder. I am so much better now , seeing and hearing Kamala Harris and her determination and energy . She can win.

I’m so sorry about your sister. I’ve been in San Diego since ‘77. That was a horrible tragedy. I’m so sorry he’s the person she thought could be good for her.

Thanks, she was my only sister. When I saw the news on CNN that day It took me many months to not cry anymore. I couldn't talk her out of joining that cult, nothing I said helped...people like Trump are very dangerous.

A very inspiring speech! But we have some work to do before we can make a good start to this election. Netanyahu is a bad man whom we are supporting. Until we end this relationship we can not say that we are much better than Donald Trump!

USA has a long history of supporting 'bad men' ie. murderous authoritarians/dictators who are only too happy to take bribes and perks to let their resources be stolen by global corporations for the profit of investors but to the detriment of the actual people of the regions.

We are so energized and excited about Kamala! Joe Biden is a wise elder. I hope we use this opportunity to inform and inspire 18 yr. olds to get involved in the campaign that will prioritize issues that matter to them: the climate crisis, gun violence, safe and legal abortion, relief from student loans, etc. not to mention strengthening democratic institutions like our courts, our right to vote, a Supreme Court - not a white supremacist court, and so on. 18 year olds need to know about the sociopaths who would encourage "a bloodbath" in this country rather than admit they lost an election. What kind of role-model is that for young people to emulate? Love and gratitude to Joe Biden for being such a caring man who worked his heart out for us yet stepped down and passed the torch.

Bernie would have won if Dem Party insiders had not orchestrated the coordinated drop out of the other candidates. We would not be participating in a genocide and would not be perilously close to Trump gang taking over. Obama, Cliburn-who else? You broke it, you bought it, and you better hope Kamala can pull your irons out of the fire. Get to work.

Lauren, I've been wild about Bernie for decades! He's a one-man band speaking to groups every day for 8 years about the billionaires and the war on unions and the middle class. He stands up for young people, women, immigrants, workers, the entire 99% and he's the only one I know who does so, almost daily, in videos that anyone can see on YouTube. He's my ultimate hero, if I were to idealize anybody. It's Bernie who speaks daily about making billionaires pay their fair share, giving workers a living wage, that healthcare is not a privilege but a right, etc. He has single-handedly moved the Democrats towards a progressive vision for America by hitting on these issues over and over again. Biden was wise enough to let himself be influenced, IMO.
