The US did not recruit Poland, the Baltics and the rest of Eastern Europe to join NATO. They beat down the door to get in. For centuries Russia has treated its neighbors brutally. Russia's neighbors have good reason to fear and loathe Russia. So the first chance they got after the Soviet Union broke up, they ran to NATO for protection from their horrible neighbor.
There are multiple Western groups that want NATO in as many countries as possible - much of it is related to money taken from taxpayers to buy NATO standard weapons. So the politicians get a piece of the pie and the Military Industrial Complex. And then NATO is used as a tool by multinational companies to bully its way into other countries and funnel resources back to the people that control NATO (banks, politicians, multi-national corporations). They also are trying to weaken Russia to keep Russia from doing the same thing, i.e. stealing resources (markets, oil, minerals, influence etc.) and funnel it back to Russia. It's a big violent game of greedy people. USA and Europe "loaned" billions of *taxpayer* dollars of weapons with the loan condition that multinational food companies like Cargil, Monsanto and Dupont can buy up the Ukrainian land *cheaply*. You are naive to think it is simply Russia trying to expand its empire. It is the West vs Russia with possibly 1 million dead in the Ukraine war. Is that ok? 1 million dead so that Western groups can steal more resources I just listed? Why are we ok with that. Why can't Michael Moore understand it? Michael saw the corruption in the Iraq wars and the Gaza War. Why not in the Ukraine War? Do people know that 911 was an inside job that triggered the Iraq war? It was not over "weapons of mass destruction".
Yeah, shutting the Electoral College would be nice, if it didn't require an amendment to the Constitution. However, the various States could all just agree to send all their electors to whomever won the popular vote. Or send their electors in proportion to the support the candidates get
How about “take steps” to do away with the Electoral College.

Actually, this wouldn't be good. The Vice President needs to preside over the certification. If she is not VP, succession gives that job to Mike Johnson. He wouldn't certify.
If it makes you feel better, when Joe Biden was going to step aside, I made the same comment that he should turn over the reigns to VP Harris so she could be the incumbent. Those who believe that Trump won the 2020 election should not hold any political office.
A couple of additions to the list:
