On the climate emergency, we need to nationalize the Oil&Gas industry because they will never do what is in the best interest of us or the planet. Also nationalize all electric infrastructure w/heavy investment in solar, wind, geothermal, carbon capture, etc.
To pay for all this, I propose we confiscate all wealth above ~$40 million to fix our broken planet. We can give them an IOU for the funds in case we succeed in not going extinct (our current path) and what will their billions be worth when we are all dead.
Finally, we must realize that the corporate agenda does not include us, our concerns, our health or future. We tried to harness greed to get us some things and then greed harnessed us.
I will never forget that you allowed me to hold a premiere screening Fahrenheit 9/11 in Newport , RI (and boy did I take the heat from locals although the theater was packed.) You did so graciously and with no strings attached. I've been a loyal fan ever since!
