WATCH: My Appearance on Ayman's MSNBC Show Makes Waves
And these waves are just a preview of the tsunami that's coming...
On Sunday night, I joined Ayman Mohyeldin on his MSNBC show — it’s called AYMAN, and it is on every Saturday and Sunday night — to talk about these final hours of the election, and how I’m feeling about it, and what we are seeing in Michigan and beyond.
Apparently, the appearance made some waves. I woke up in the morning to find it splashed across the top of the Drudge Report: MICHAEL MOORE: ‘Trump is Toast’
So I thought I would share this conversation with you all, in case you missed it Sunday night:
As you see in the video, I am very optimistic about how this election is going, and about the historic moment we find ourselves in.
Now, it’s not all champagne and roses. It’s important to remember that, and as you’ll see as you watch my 12 minute spot on MSNBC above, I still have deep worries about Michigan and about how the Biden administration’s continued blind loyalty to Netanyahu — our continued funding and arming of a genocide — will affect the vote in Michigan.
I truly believe that today, November 5, 2024, will mark the end of our own apartheid here in America — a gender apartheid that has gone on for 250 years, keeping women out of power and out of the White House, despite the fact that they make up the majority of the U.S. population.
But as soon as that victory happens, we must all re-focus our energy on fixing this other apartheid, this genocide being conducted in our name, with our weapons, with our money.
Please watch this recent clip from CNN, featuring Dr. Tanya Haj-Hassan, co-founder of Gaza Medic Voices, as she describes what, exactly, is happening on the ground right now:
And there you have it. I have determined that President Harris will NOT continue funding genocide, NOT continue embracing the war criminal Netanyahu, NOT allow Israel to starve the Palestinian people to death. I believe that is who she is. We shall see.
** In order to have a troll-free, hate-free comments section — and because if there’s one thing I know about my crazy haters, they would rather spend an eternity in hell with Marjorie Taylor Greene than send me $5 if forced to become a paid subscriber — my Comments section here on my Substack is limited to paid subscribers. But, not to worry — anyone can send me their comments, opinions and thoughts by writing to me at mike@michaelmoore.com. I read every one of them, though obviously I can’t respond to all. The solution here is not optimal but it has worked and my Comments section has become a great meeting place for people wanting to discuss the ideas and issues I raise here. There is debate and disagreement, but it is refreshing to have it done with respect and civility, unfettered by the stench of bigotry and Q-anon insanity.
Michael, you truly are a national treasure! I really hope you’re working on a new documentary—one that, if things go the right way, could be your greatest work yet! A story about how America lost its mind for a time, only to finally wake up as if from a fever dream, revived by a much-needed jolt of reality. I think you’re just the guy to capture this epic story It ends up with us coming out better on the other side albeit slowly. Ken Burns who?
Wonderful interview on Ayman. From your lips to God's ears as they say. As far as Michigan, I'm hoping that the Arab population takes a leap of faith with Kamala and that they know that Netanyahu absolutely wants Trump to win. That right there tells you that electing him over her would be very, very bad (yes, it can get worse) for their relatives and friends in Gaza and Lebanon. Here's wishing everyone an easy and safe time as you head out to the polls, if you haven't already. Good luck to us all America. I'm counting on us.
