Friends,
Seven years ago I made a movie where I went to nine countries to see what great ideas of theirs I could "steal" and bring back here to help us in the U.S. It was called "Where To Invade Next", with the satirical idea of doing what we do best — invading countries — but instead of taking their oil or land, we take something we could really use: free health care, 8 weeks of paid vacation, free college and more women in power. I thought that now would be a good time to show you one scene from it —my visit to Iceland and how the women decided to fight back.

Thank you, Michael, this is very inspiring and appropriately enraging. And it all started with women demonstrating, with a one day strike, what happens when a society doesn't have women's labor.
The end of this segment is chilling, and so, so true. We in the states are not living in a country run with everyone's well-being in mind. I'd guess if you showed the last two minutes to any American audience, you'd get a majority quietly nodding in agreement. I wonder when we'll all come together and put the bastards far away, very, very, very, very, VERY far away.
You are such a GOOD TROUBLEmaker!!
I was blessed with the wisdom to see this wonderful documentary when it was first released; THANK YOU for the wonderful reminder of the power women have IF WE CHOOSE TO USE IT!!
