Wherever you live – whether it’s a Deep Red State or a Deep Blue State – you no longer have to feel the election has already been decided because you already know how your state’s going to vote. I am here to tell you, as you sit there 100 miles east of Bentonville, AR, or smack dab in the middle of the sweet aroma of Super Silver Haze in Berkeley, CA, you can have a powerful effect on this election!
Beginning today and running all weekend long (and throughout September), the Democratic Party is organizing virtual phone banks for the Harris-Walz campaign, and for other Democrats down the ballot.

These are easy to do, simple to follow and a great way of impacting this election without ever leaving your apartment, house, or dorm room.
Don’t have any experience in this sort of thing? Don’t worry! The Democratic Party will train you at the beginning of your session to get you up to speed.
Busy weekend ahead? Not a problem! They have two hour time slots available running all weekend long. Sign up for the one that fits your schedule.
Concerned about your privacy? I don’t blame you. But again, not to worry. The phone calls you will be making will be done through a dial program where your personal information is kept private, and all the recipient will see is a generic phone number from their local area code, and all they hear will be your wonderful voice.
You can use a Computer, Tablet or Smartphone to participate in the phone bank — but they suggest joining their zoom from your Computer or Tablet for the best experience.
As a former president once said, “It was a perfect call. A perfect call!” I am convinced that this is exactly the experience we will all have at the Harris-Walz Virtual Phone Bank.

If you prefer to volunteer with or donate to community organizations, non-profits, or other groups that want to elect Harris and are not funded by the Democratic Party, I created the list below and sent it out to friends and family all over the country. I hope this list is helpful to you as well.

I am going to post this list each time Michael sends out one of his missives, adding to the list whenever I learn of more options to share.
Please make me and everyone else aware of any other groups/organizations that have campaigns or mobilization efforts going to prevent Trump from getting elected by posting the information as a comment to my post.
POSTCARDS, PHONEBANKS, TEXTS, VOTER REGISTRATION, DONATIONS
Experts who study these things have seen that such simple actions as personal postcards, phone calls, or texts to specifically identified voters can and do make a difference. The organizations below are either the experts or are groups that partner with the experts. Some of these organizations promote who to vote for, while others just encourage infrequent voters to vote, knowing that the people they contact typically vote Democratic. All of these groups can benefit from your time and/or your donations (some of which can be tax-deductible).
The ENVIRONMENTAL VOTER PROJECT identifies millions of non-voting environmentalists and turns them into consistent voters. I have done postcards and phonebanks with them.

Will you please encourage the Harris Walz campaign to also leverage text banking, which is supposed to yield better results than phone banking? A lot of people don't accept calls from unknown numbers these days but do read text messages where they have the flexibility to respond hours or even days later to engage in a conversation. I had done a lot of text banking for the Biden-Harrris campaign in 2020 with encouraging results. I am surprised that the Harris Walz campaign is not yet leveraging it.
