As I Write This, Election Day is 100 Days Away. Does Trump Even Know What Happened This Past Week? Welcome to the New American Majority, Mr. Trump. Here’s How Your Next 100 Days Are Going to Look…
you have outlined the issues well, I will be watching closely her actions with regards to the genocide in Gaza. So encouraging that she boycotted Bibi's speech, AND did not hug him. Let's hope that the big money people do not influence her.
Such a relief to wake up and no longer need to shake off my recurring nightmare of living in a dystopian MAGA-World. Harris for president and Heather Cox Richardson for Secretary of Education!
"the horror he (Biden) had unleased on the good people of Palestine.
Hundreds, maybe thousands of Hamas militants live in Gaza - are they too good people?
- they do not believe Israel has a right to exist. And there was a time when the decision to create Israel was made - they stole land from innocent and good people of Palestine, but we are we are where we are. The Palestinian people need to rid themselves of Hamas and the Israelis need to rid themselves of their far right radical politicians.
Great read. Seeing your picture with our VP takes me back to the women’s march where I listened to you both speak. You said to run for school board. I did. I won. I became president of the board before Covid hit and I was overrun by my fellow board members who saw MAGA opportunities in the shutdown.
One member even made her way onto Fox News.
At the March, I didn’t know who Kamala Harris was at the time, but the little hairs on my arms pricked up when she spoke. My friend and were both so moved by her speech we wondered who she was and whether she would run for president.
Thanks Michael Moore. For Sure, The times, they are a changin!! Thank you Kamala. You are beautiful, inside and out......You will win... And, restore faith in decency, kindness and the best in all of us.
I know. I supported Marianne because of her platform. These things need to be given voice. I'm surprised Michael didn't give it. The half-million people bankrupted by medical bills EACH YEAR add up to more votes than Democrats lost swing states by. If Democrats are really serious about winning this election, their operatives would unite behind advocating for it. Hillary Clinton's own stooging for the "health care" mafia with her "NEVER EVER..." comment on single payer could well have cost her (and us!) those critical votes in the swing states.
Marianne's greatest strength was as an educator to stimulate thinking about how a nation of people could live better. As successful a politician as Bernie Sanders is, he proved to be an even more effective educator. The Democratic Party operatives and their NYT stooges tried to paint him as a joke who was supposed to get only maybe 10% of the delegates at the 2016 convention in his short campaign. He showed up with over 45% because people heard his message and wanted a government that delivered on its obligations and responsibilities. Now, the Democratic Party operatives cannot shut the discussions down. Michael is a great educator too. We owe all three a lot.
When we take back the House, we must--on Day One--start proceedings to abolish the Electoral College.
Michigan is not the only home of people who want an immediate cease-fire, withdrawal of all troops, and the end to the US financing of the genocide in Gaza. There are many of us in other states. Some of us haven't been students for decades. We are not all Arabs. The hard core of the peace movement of the 1960s has never forgotten that peace is the only way forward. Harris must speak out on this evil disaster and pledge to cut funds to the Israeli war machine.
I can't wait to see your plan for action, Michael! Fired up and ready to go!
The electoral College has disenfranchised millions of voters, this is true. However, I doubt we would ever see it abolished because that would greatly diminish the voice of less populated states. I’m not sure what the answer is aside from encouraging millions to migrate to deep red states and change the voting demographic. Sigh
If we got rid of the electoral college, it wouldn’t matter where you lived. All votes for the president would have equal weight. As it is now, most of us are now disenfranchised. Only 10 or 12 states are needed.
Michael, a brilliant post and the “reminder list” of where the hearts and minds of 70% of Americans are on the critical issues that we want is deeply appreciated.
A great deal of Kamala’s path to crushing Trump will depend on her choice of VP, because it envelops not just a regional choice, but the critical policy issues that we all went to see come to fruition.
The hurdles include not picking another Joe Lieberman; Shapiro and Kelley both have shown that they are far from liberal. Shapiro has supported taxpayer money for vouchers to support private and religious schools. Kelley, afraid to take on the Gun lobby. Buttigeig (a former corporate waterboy, really?)
Of course the pundits will decry the two woman ticket, or the two blacks ticket. Funny, when I pointed out the racism imbedded in being fearful of a two black person ticket as a detriment to winning in November, My Centrist Democrat friend looked at me in horror for suggesting that holding that belief is racist… “I’m from the MidWest and We NEED the MidWest!” she stated.
Realpolitik is the primary food that professional electioneers and consultants thrive on. It also slowly chokes our future as a great nation to death.
My advice; go with the VP choice that holds the ideas in Michael’s Laundry List.
I have great admiration for Cornell West and welcomed his message but this would be the moment for him to end his campaign and support Harris…we can’t afford to lose even 1-2 %. Of the vote wherever it comes from. Thus us a national campaign now, everywhere is in play. Please Professor West, join our cause.
You always bring the harsh reality. Took a little bit of the wind out of my sails but only because it’s true. It’s always our race to lose. But so far we are knocking it out the ballpark. 💙🇺🇸💙
This is incredible news! Thank you for your continued insightful views and reporting.
But there is still a lot of work to be done before November. The campaign shoud take particular aim at women in the red states. I bet there are a lot of them that are on board with Kamala but are afraid to openly declare their allegiance. Let's remind them that they can say it privately and proudly in the voting booth!!!
Dear Kamala: give Reid Hoffman his money back. Your supporters one and all despise pay-to-play. You can stop it right now.
I was thinking the exact same thing.
Ditto! Kamala is being well-funded by small donations. Returning the money to Hoffman would get her more than $7M worth of positive publicity.
Mike Shouting it from the rooftops: "THE ONLY WAY TRUMP CAN WIN IS IF LIBERALS AND DEMOCRATS STAY HOME."
And, Barack Obama could not agree more:
"If 99% of us Democrats voted, it wouldn't matter how much the 1% spent on our elections. Republicans win when Democrats don't vote." ~ Barack Obama
you have outlined the issues well, I will be watching closely her actions with regards to the genocide in Gaza. So encouraging that she boycotted Bibi's speech, AND did not hug him. Let's hope that the big money people do not influence her.
It looked to me, like when Kamala shook Bibi's hand, he wouldn't let go.
Such a relief to wake up and no longer need to shake off my recurring nightmare of living in a dystopian MAGA-World. Harris for president and Heather Cox Richardson for Secretary of Education!
Heather Cox Richardon - Yes!!!
A joyful campaign is in order and is refreshing, go get them Michael we are with you!
Mr. Moore, you have been telling the truth from way back. I thank you for it! Very happy to have subscribed.

I was there too - their images on the large screen. Hope!
Thanks Michael Moore. For Sure, The times, they are a changin!! Thank you Kamala. You are beautiful, inside and out......You will win... And, restore faith in decency, kindness and the best in all of us.
No mention for the majority of Americans' desire for universal health care in your list? Wow. just Wow.
That and other things not listed are in Marianne Williamson's platform: https://marianne2024.com.

Marianne lit the way. People listened to her whether she gets on any ballot or not

Despair is indeed our greatest weakness. Thank you for your effort to dispel it.
