Ah, dear Michel! I am 89 years old and have been watching you since you won that first school board election. I love you, son. Keep it up!

Well, Republicans are still goose-stepping because they have poopypants.

President Biden calls them “Semi-fascists,” but I think they should be called “Half-fascists.”

It just rolls off the tongue nicely.

Everybody say it with me three times…

Half-fascists… Half-fascists … Half-fascists...

Never, ever, vote for a Republican.

Michael, you are one of the few, that refers to trump as a traitor, which my husband and I have been doing since 2016.

Why is this so difficult, for even dems?

Also, who's to say these documents, and others, were not transferred to Mar-a-Lago throughout t's 4 years, not just at the end? Scarey.

The smug, relaxed sense of security says it all. And why not? Since the first Europeans set foot on these shores, the only one and true God has been coin. Coin and the power that comes with it. That is a lot to attempt to limit by harnessing truth. But hey, it's a worthwhile endeavor. It gives us something to be proud of and hang on to. To me, hope is the coin of the realm. That, of course, and voting. That last part keeps them up at night. They have to continually plot to stay ahead of that. At the very least, we can brag about giving them a gnawing sense of INSECURITY.

Thanks Michael, secret agent 007. Loved the dangling mic part. Hearty laugh, but deadly serious stuff. Agree that DOJ MUST charge this traitor - otherwise - yes, rich/powerful folks CAN be above the law. If John Q Public did 1/10 of what this criminal did, he'd be behind bars forever.

I'm 66 yr old, tired too, but value the truth and the satisfaction of the good fight.

Keep up the great work and the good fight!

You are allowed because it makes the corporate abusers look good. You’re just a pawn in their game. Stepping too hard on their feet MIGHT make them stop you but they’re as you say smug, knowing NOTHING can touch them.

There are so many ways to render a critical voice inconsequential; one way is to take selfies, another is to hand you enough rope to .....

uSA is a country with the mentality of a teenage white boy who believes everything is at his disposal.

What's the point. I'm 65 years old and have been protesting since I was a teen. Nothing has really changed. I love and support you. I'm totally exhausted and worn out. The last 2 years have taken most of the fight out of me.

I'm 68 today, and still doing what I can to protest & fight this insanity. At our age, yes, it's hard to gather the energy to DO, but it doesn't take much to write letters, take part in social media, and encourage others. I understand the exhaustion, really, but I'm here to urge you to please take heart. <3

Thank you. Yes, I'm weary, but I will never stop fighting for peace and truth to win.... because they will!

A note of thanks, and my own quiet support for you, Sunanda.

Also my encouragement for you to tend to your exhaustion.

Thank you for the years of your life dedicated to speaking up and speaking out.

I believe your efforts have born fruit, and will continue to do so.

It's tough to see the change and the good when we are exhausted. I speak from experience.

Please be kind to yourself and keep your own light alive! Music, books, nature, walks, naps...whatever floats your boat.

Interesting observation that the guests there were so welcoming and unthreatened by your presence. My first thought is that it is an indication of the shallowness of their media/notoriety/celebrity/appearance-driven/wealth-focused world that you are viewed on the same level regardless of the content of your message. And this is combined with the smugness you describe; the sense that nothing can threaten their membership at the club. But hopefully the DOJ is about to draw the line!

No wonder President Biden chose his own security guards instead of Trump’s SS 😎 May the guilty pay!

The Everglades Club is the preeminent social club in Palm Beach, Florida, unlike MAL. If you’re unable to get membership at Everglades Club, you have to settle for MAL 😉

Hey Michael - I think your work is great, which is why I subscribe. That being said, the reality is that in the US, the separation line is not viewpoints, but class/caste (wealth). The Mar-a-Laogites did not feel threatened because they view you as one of them, one of the wealthy. If you were a Door Dash delivery person (do they deliver to Mar-a-Lago??), you would have gotten the boot as soon as you entered (unless of course you actually had a delivery). The upper caste does not feel threatened by your films (if they indeed watch them) because they know they have prevailed since the birth of this country, and continue to prevail today. You said it all with the description of the political system in the US: If the 2-party, electoral college system continues, the Mar-a-Lagoites probably are secure in their security, sadly.

I tend to view this as our secret weapon. The oppressors are so used to getting away with it all. The extremists in their cruel and hate greedy echo chamber have gone too far! We are woke right to showing up at the polls. I believe these extremists, while causing much damage in the present, have literally saved Democracy! Of course we take nothing for granted, we donate, march, e-mail, call, fax, postcard, engage with the non cult members, VOTE. . . I naively thought I needed anger to stay engaged. I now am more hopeful and even joyful while watching the right destroy themselves. I still wish candidates would use Robin Willisms great idea of nascar like jackets (t-shirts)for all the politicians, including Manchin and Sinema showing their corporate buyers. When decent people are parroting the crazy right about student loans- I hope the creative blowback has made them reassess their hearts and minds that have been damaged by the right wing media. That would be priceless.

Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for us all💓

I would venture that trump took the documents for purposes of turning it into financial gain for himself – it's the only language he understands. If things ever went badly, he could always sell them for a profit in his mind anyway. I firmly believe that there are people in government who want exactly what is starting to happen: law and order with an iron hand, get rid of those pesky women in power, get rid of those transgender and gay people, get rid of anybody we don't cotton to, bring back the glorious 50s when men were men and women were women. Don't bother me with exceptions just make all exceptions felonies and completely illegal and punishable by death. Because certain influential people want a restrictive, dictatorship, those of us that don't – and we are in the majority right now – need to step it up and fight harder for what we believe.

Hello Michael-

I was a bit surprised to hear you talk about your disappointment in the people that were dining at Mar-a-Lago because they were so friendly to you. In fact you said it made you upset. I interpreted your words to mean that you thought there should be a division (with animosity) between yourself and the people you met there. It didn't sit right with me because I feel right now that we should be reaching out to all people no matter what their personal beliefs are or how much money they have. Establishing trust between people is very important to moving this country forward. Not only that, but also the fact that no one person is completely evil or completely good. There is much we can find in common with all people. That should be celebrated and encouraged in my opinion. The last thing we need is to build the wall higher between "us and them". Thank you for your important voice. You are an inspiration and a much needed helper to understanding for all of us here. Plus you are so funny! I love love love you.

What came to my mind is that there must be some very rich, very powerful people behind him protecting him in some kind "deal" we have no idea about. It was easy to sway people who were disgruntled that you name it – gay people, atheists, etc. All he had to do was say "I love the undereducated" and they would follow him anywhere. I am suspicious of whatever forces see that the guy is "box office" and are trying to cram him down the throats of America. Concerned and a bit frightened. This should have been an open and shut case to lock the guy up but he goes everywhere and does anything he pleases while others pay for him to do it. Charisma? I think it goes beyond mere charisma – he has the power to get people to believe what he says. He might be – and I am not prone to such thoughts – the antichrist? There are odd parallels between the philosophy and his story. Otherwise there is a conspiracy to keep him around.
