The kind of cease-fire you demand would be a death knoll for Israel. Not one time since Hamas attacked Israel has a call for a cease-fire by Israel been accompanied by a call for the immediate release of the hostages and either the surrender of all Hamas weapons or whatever it takes to make sure that another October 7 could not happen. Hamas gets to state the details of a cease-fire and Israel is expected to go along with it. That is a statement that all a terrorist group has to do is attack another country and then plead for a cease-fire because they have been retaliated against. That is totally unacceptable.

And urging Democrats not to vote for Biden is stating unequivocally that you prefer a fascist dictator in an authoritarian state in this country rather than let another country figure out how to defend itself and ensure its survival. I am so disappointed in you, Michael Moore.

All that Michael said, I agree with. What is Israel without the billions in weapons that we give it? Surely they can figure out a way to cease fire, get the hostages back, and protect Israel. Otherwise, when does this stop? Killing 10s of thousands of innocents is just fueling the next gen of Hamas and their ilk. Are you saying the only way to stop Hamas is to completely level Gaza and kill everyone? Pardon me but that is crazy.

David. I don't know about Israel's hostage policy, but I believe I read that they have done hostage exchanges at a very high cost to them, like 300 people they held for 1 Israeli being held by the other side. If that is true, the 'price' as it were in hostages they hold to get back the Hamas-held hostages would be very high, in numbers. I guess the IDF feels/felt that unrelenting bombing would make Hamas cry uncle and surrender all hostages. didn't happen. Michael has broadcast 2 state solution and a single state solution information. Surely something would allow all parties to work out something where they can stop killing each other. I mean, this sounds like a Star Trek original series where Kirk etc would force both sides to confront the destruction and realize it wont stop until they seriously negotiate a truce. Perhaps that can only happen on tv, at least, it seems like it, so far.

I beg to differ that Star Trek is just fantasy. The original Star Trek actually related many social things that was happening in the US at that time of the 60's and 70's The freedom riots, MLK., Vietnam. Very relevant to the current political happening s, but it was banned from TV. Showing it as Sci Fi got them around the TV sensors ( just like in literature) , other shows like The Smothers Brothers Comedy, had parts of their show edited often, like Harry Belafonte sang Day-o, but they edited out his protest song. ( Fron Smothers Brothers CD collection commentary. ) Of course all the history deniers in Fla would agree with you about Star Trek.

David. I don't know who they negotiate with when it's terrorists on one side. Back to star trek where there were 2 guys from same planet black n white split down middle. Except different sides were these colors. Sound familiar? They ended up getting back to their planet only to find both sides had killed each other. N even that couldn't get them to break bread, so they probably ended up killing each other. All gone because they couldn't accept their differences. This is where this mess is headed. Or continues to head century after century.

Theres more historical context than that. First off it’s an occupation and even ex CIA and military, journalists of all kinds have called it an “open air prison.” We can pretend that doesn’t have any affect, or pretend that Netanyahu didn’t openly call to the center right Likud party in 2019 and tell them “to thwart a Palestinian state you should consider strengthening Hamas, including transfer of money to Hamas as part of our strategy.”

Do you think Trump would do "anything" ? NO! He would make it even worse! Please stop it. Biden is who we have . I honestly can’t believe the number of clearly intelligent people who actually believe that Biden - the man who repeatedly declares he is a Zionist, the president who is authorizing emergency funding in the BILLIONS - repeatedly - throughout this genocidal assault on babies, children, women and men and their young children, their elderly and sometimes mobility-challenged parents - Biden repeatedly lobbies Congress for more weapons to kill these humans who have suffered multi-generational assaults, mass murders by IDF of their families - all because Israel isn’t satisfied with the stolen land they were gifted in 48.

The Israeli settlers ARE the IDF.

AND any Americans with dual citizenship who are there now as IDF should stay there. Because we don’t want them. They’re evil IS-Nazi Zionists.

Then you wonder why our cities have police forces that are armed to the teeth. And then kill at whim their own citizens over and over, with zero repercussions.

It’s called Fascism. And if you tell me I should be ashamed of not voting for a govt that has given insane amounts of our tax dollars to support a genocide, think again about your ask. Because you are supporting fascism and you don’t recognize it.

Why really is it that so many can so easily bifurcate their minds that there is even an ounce of reprimand to ME that I won’t support genocide?

Who the f are you people? You’re not even human. Why are you not among those telling this admin you don’t support this? If you have done that regularly, then ok. But something tells me you’re not voicing your opposition to Israel’s opportunistic and wholesale slaughter of the Palestinians - their entire history, their very close-knit families, and their modern culture. The Palestinians I’ve known all my adult life are some of the most beautiful humans. But fascists really don’t like successful, cooperative and close-knit cultures.

And those Palestinians are “unfortunate” enough to own the land on top of multi-billions of barrels of oil and natural gas that the Israelis are already stealing via illegal offshore rigs. Hence OUR NAVY swooping in and the promised “port” build.

That’s got nah-thing to do with annnything.

But on the surface a lot of people are getting the other impression, and for good reason. He isn't emphasizing it well enough. The hell of it is real and everyone. Everyone, everyone is scared – Biden is afraid of not getting elected and afraid of losing the Jewish vote which are not helpful or accurate in assessing the situation. The Holocaust was so unimaginably horrific that Netanyahu is afraid if he doesn't kill every last Islamic citizen, he is dangerously close to replicating the Nazi 30s and 40s, which is also not assessing his situation. It seems no one is looking at the bigger picture. Everyone has their excuses for acting as they are acting but are evading the real issues and the present day, here and now realities and reasons. And the most awful thing is that we on the outside can understand them at one level, but on a deeper level, we can see that wrong is wrong is wrong and there is no getting around that. Love thy neighbor as thyself – what part of that – do they not understand?

~

I have been absorbed with the same or similar conundrum.

.

I feel pretty lucky in spite of everything as I have set the bar very very low for myself. TWO working eyes and a functioning back.

.

But the core issue as you outline HOW do you get people to see the 'Big Picture"...

.

I don't have an immediate answer but seems like almost a 3rd eye (in metaphor) of self awareness of a situation long term is required (the 75,000 ft view ++ ) to imagine or get a sense of how the much larger pieces are really moving.

.

Constantly having to assess one's situation from a more distant and 3rd perspective.

..

Daily diligence IS required and not to accept anything at face value but also to realize one's own folly / follies.

.

.

And a LOT of slow thinking rather than fast reactions to being immersed into a situation.

.

Humility rather than 'Swagger" is required.

People get blinded by many superficial things and sadly still naively buy into notions of 'Good things deserve to happen to good people".

.

They can ONLY see that THEY themselves deserve something - but frankly precipitated by a society that failed itself and completely fails to care for the most vulnerable in "Society". BUT at the same time really watch out for those 'Professional Victims " that straight out of the box especially after they have made damn sure you know that they are a victim of terrible crimes and injustices and then go on (nearly in the same sentence) to claim that they are GOING TO SAVE THE WORLD.

.

^^^ IME of having to navigate through and past some of the world's most truly awful people on the planet - The "I'm a Victim + I'm gonna save the world " whilst trying to get their hooks into you / one ~ are TWO of the biggest RED FLAGS for a real and true Psychopath.

.

Beware ^^^ Reread and take to heart.

.

@Judy I appreciate your insights / communication abilities.

.

Might take me two weeks or more of slow thinking to really get to the core of the problem you outline. - do such selfish and self involved people really need a special nudge / help to gain that 3rd perspective (Almost like Bron the Raven from GOT.)... (lol).

.

I suspect - somewhat sadly but in equal measure grateful to maybe see an end in sight -

that time has run out. They were given ample time... and the very last grains of sand have trickled through the narrow neck of the glass sand timer.

.

There is no more time and there is no more time for them - they were given every opportunity to do the right thing and almost unerringly failed. (Human habit - more than anything else.). But at least we see the profiles - terrain and landscape of such behaviors very clearly know.

Is the 9th level in Dante's divine comedy fitting for those that betrayed their benefactors ?

..

Like Virgil I am not permitted to look deeper into such matters especially as I am very 'Revenge deficient" as it turns out. Usually a Big Brother is good for that. Mine just predates.

.

For people who have no conscience or capability for remorse or even usefully motivated shame or even "Guilt" it does not seem to be enough.

.

I think whatever they were looking for was to be found in their respective paychecks and custom designed - Faustian "Bargains".

.

Always read the fine print, never neglect "Third Party" considerations - never trust celebrity or well known figures.

.

Finally never believe your own BS and try very hard NOT to manipulate <--- Takes years for some people to set a boundary with themselves to not be childish and manipulative cheap little transactional sh*ts from hell. Don't manipulate !

.

If they can't set that internal boundary to not manipulate then they are pretty much toast and no amount of time will actually help them "See the Light". I don't want to sugar coat it but they are pretty much completely f*cked.

Two things have ruined the Democrat party, the *first* is the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision in 2010 which allowed unlimited spending on elections by corporations, nonprofit organizations, labor unions, and other associations. The *second* thing was Obama letting pharmaceutical companies set the prices for their drugs rather than letting the government negotiate the prices (this was done to get Obamacare passed). This gave pharmaceutical companies a bigger budget to corrupt the Democrats, Republicans, scientists and the universities resulting in huge profits for the drug companies. A politician who resisted taking this money was at risk of losing the election because their opponent would take the money. The good politicians that had ethics and morals were voted out of office because this "corrupting" money didn't go to them but instead went to their opponents. We need a new leader like RFK jr who will try to rectify this terrible political system that benefits the rich at the expense of the average american.

It's very clear that people are upset about the situation in Gaza., as am I. President Biden is doing what he can to get aid into the people and by trying to stop support for Israel's offensive campaigns. The US has said that we will not support any further attacks on Iran. What galls me about this situation is that Trump would be 1000x worse and he would encourage the entire destruction of Gaza, with no aid. With all that said, it doesn't amount to a hill of beans if people do a 'protest vote' and put Trump back into office. Kennedy and West cannot win, so any vote for them - or not voting - just helps Trump. Yeah, I get it, President Biden isn't perfect, but he is a decent human being who is doing the best he can with a powder keg. It's not like this situation just started on October 7th. This stupid fighting has been going on for how many years? Stopping Netanyahu's murderous rampage is easier said than done. Putting someone in power here who will support him carte blanche is the definition of cutting off your nose to spite your face. The Israeli people also have to do their part by removing Netanyahu. Thinking that this situation could cause the return of Trump is just sickening. There's so much more the world will lose (including Gaza) if Trump ever returns to power. I hope President Biden does whatever it takes to turn this tide.

@PLEB ~ The US medical health care systems are pretty much fixing to kill me and I need to leave the country as soon as I am able - Sweden might be my best option.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

>>>>> - Being half crippled by the US medical profession

- US medical mal practice and psychopathically negligent doctors (that gaslight their patients to not listen to serious multiple orthopedic malpractices ) - makes that a trifle difficult (for me ) _ especially after being thrown out of the US "HC" system for seven years.

...

Assumed pre-existing medical conditions and actually false medical histories when my X-wife additionally filled out and checked the wrong boxes on my medicals forms.

...

.

Being afflicted by severe migraines additionally doesn't help with regular employment either - but having been thrown out of the American HC system primarily because I have a 5% higher correlated chance of a stroke - due to "Having" migraines - to add insult to injury (literally) . + Neurologists that insisted on prescribing the wrong medications when there are ONLY two choices --- Years of additional and pointless pain.

.

Turns out my biological father is NOT my father so MY medical history and questions that they ask are completely bogus ! In spite of all that I am relatively fit / trim - don't drink and I don't smoke. Not being able to be more active like going to the gym etc. has been difficult for me.

...

.

Caught Covid 4 or 5 times nearly died twice... + Long covid + expensive commitments where force majeure didn't count. .. Tripple vaccinated. Further Months lost in Covid brain fog and not being able to breathe properly for about 18 months to two years. Better now - BUT I am a total recluse and don't go out into public for a number of reasons not least tired of catching covid.

Hundreds of thousands of dollars out of pocket (needlessly) and YEARS completely lost unnecessarily that lead to complete financial ruin - as unless you are completely financially ruined you won't get ANY medical assistance from OUR government.

.

You know ... Tricky... for the "Hobby and get a job department" YKWIM ? @PLEB ?

... either / OR :-) I can't pick either one of those - but nice try 'Gov".

.

I have a bunch of patents but have been thrown under the bus and stabbed in the back more times than I can count by close business and development partners.

.

Very under-rated skill to hang in there by your finger nails.

.

Did you happen to notice none of the Chatbots actually listened to the first half of this broadcast ? @PLEB.

.

ALL chatbots.

.

All part of one of the darkest experiments ever carried out hidden in plain sight.

.

My brother fixed to be a vulture investor to steal and plunder everything I have been working on for 25 years to leave me to bleed out basically on a metaphorical deserted island .

@ PLEB - YOU get a job or a hobby as 3/4 cripple in massive unending and unrelenting pain 24/7 no sleep. Go for it buddy (maybe you have various difficulties also ? Other than lurking from server to server .).

I am happy to say I am going from 1/2 arsed cripple to 1/4 cripple and hopefully to 1/8th of a cripple - I don't want to slide backwards from that. If I can bloody help it at all. Didn't really help with various "Introjective" 'Peeps" fixin to turn me back to full cripple and my last horse into dog meat. BUT found a better way through (fingers crossed) long term.

.

Being able to stand more than two hours a day without being in 24/7 pain has been a challenge but 4 years later I can do almost a full day's physical work basically being a human dung beetle (just moving literal sh*t from one place to another ) - but VERY happy to do so - for my single horse while trying unsuccessfully to position my Ranch-ito for sale.

.

@PLEB go fuck yourself - but I mean that in the nicest possible way.

.

You can continue to spam this place up with your usual crap - I never complain about what you write. lol

.

Snowflake "Justice" in action - from literal Chatbots - Nothing like the Staus Quo and gigantic f*cking army of chatbots.

.

Thanks for the concern @PLEB.

~

30 to 40% of the time I post here is when I have a migraine.

.

Chatbots don't really feel anything - at least not yet.

Ah, well at least you aren’t a chatbot. 😉

I’m a big fan of multivitamin supplements with trace elements that the body needs to function on a cellular and molecular level. One element, copper, melts those little spikes that the Covid virus has. It only takes a trace amount; too much copper is not good for you.

That goes for a lot of little things that can become too much.

I’m glad you’re getting stronger.

I read Cannery Row about 41 years ago - jeez.

-

From memory - Doc and his "Beer Milkshake".

-

I'll take a sour (ale) - especially during summer - cut it with 35% with Pelligrino and about 12% coconut water - juice of half a lime and then balance or top off with flat water or the wheat sour.

.

Got the cut beer with sparkling mineral water (thing) from my great uncle "Kurt" in the mid 1980's . He was a German liaison to American office of IBM / German IBM sales guy through Switzerland before the Second world war. + many other shenanigans between eventual axis to allies and vice versa trading.

.

Mannnn the stories that guy could tell - while getting slightly wasted listening to Edif Piaf - 78s .

He was in his 90s then.

I want to raise this: even if Biden were to cut all funding to Israel, Netanyahu would still continue his campaign of genocide. It's not as simple as, stop funding and Netanyahu does what Biden wants. He's basically a dictator of a rogue state. There are not many elegant, simple solutions to this crisis.

At least if Biden weren't consistently in support of giving Bibi billions of dollars, we wouldn't be funding genocide. It is not only morally repulsive, but it is also a war crime to be complicit in genocide. So yeah, Biden is perhaps (and please know how I want to cry because it's come down to this) the lesser evil when compared to Trump, but why does that mean people refuse to admit what Biden is complicit in is anything but completely reprehensible? Israel is slaughtering Palestinians, intending to wipe them off the face of the Earth, and America continues to give them billions of dollars without one string. I understand not wanting Trump in the White House. I don't want Trump in the White House. How does that make genocide okay? How come that means we are to say nothing when we see our tax dollars going to butcher, starve, maim, and bomb innocent human beings as they are prevented from accessing even the most basic needs for human survival? To constantly be told this is beyond gaslighting. These are our fellow human beings, and I am not to say anything while the American Government is complicit in their barbaric destruction?

Never for one moment am I saying genocide is okay. I for sure agree that Biden is complicit by giving funds to Netanyahu. However, Netanyahu is a dictator who will do what he wants even if Biden were to cut all aid to Israel (which would also hurt the innocent Israelis like we saw this weekend with the Iran attack). Even if we cut all funding to Israel, Netanyahu is a dictator. He will continue the slaughter. My only point is Biden has no legitimate way to make him immediately cease the genocide.

Trump, on the other hand, would give him unlimited money and support to kill every last Palestinian left alive. SO MUCH WORSE. I don't just want to keep Trump from the White House--Biden is quite literally the only option we have to stop the complete eradication of all Palestinians. Trump will bomb them. It's horrific.

BTW Ken Burns Documentary on the Holocaust is VERY VERY good. I think it's six part.

Absolutely riveting.

Waaaaaay more entertaining than the Beatles (Peter Jackson) documentary / six way divorce. The were some good moments - but after a while it gets super f*cking annoying and Paul and John really do come off as total wankers especially to poor George.

You are correct. I should be saying Congress or the American Government instead of Biden. In my head, that's usually what I mean, though; he does need to start calling a spade a spade if he wants us to believe he still has a soul. I also agree with you that Congress is using Biden as an easy scapegoat in front of their constituents, which is reprehensible. And, well, thank you. That was very nice, and totally unexpected, for you to say.

Exactly! There are no elegant solutions to stopping a genocide. None. Short of declaring war on Israel, there is no easy way to stop a dictator of a rogue state.

I completely agree. Especially with humanitarian aid, that HAS to get through no matter what. Biden has set a red line with Rafah, and he needs to enforce it if N crosses it.

Funny how we have totally forgotten Ukrane in all this. Sounds like a Trumpian Magna tactic of misdirection to me Sir, Michael Moore , If Congress won't help Ukraine fight a war we support without sending our troops, why are we doing so for Israel? What's good for the goose, should be good for the gander. Thank you for helping out in their misdirection ( sarcasm last sentence, I didn't appriciate your fake podcast that fantasy/humor about Purin awhile ago)

Ukraine expensive 'cuz practically the size of Germany.

-

Gaza "Cheap" 'cuz only 124 square miles.

-

That's why we can't have "Nice things !" or healthcare for that matter.

.

Education is now superfluous to requirements since the Reagan Administration and then Clinton administration really kicked the door in on all that.

.

Downhill all the way on the money train since then. As educated Americans with proper Healthcare are too expensive.
