And who knows — if we keep our foot on the gas and Get Out the Vote until the polls close tomorrow (Tuesday) night, we just may wake up Wednesday morning feeling… well… pretty f**king great.

With just two weeks left until the election, Vice President Harris still won’t clearly say what she’ll do differently from Biden to end the U.S. taxpayer-funded slaughter of Gaza’s civilian population. Every poll shows the American people want a ceasefire now. If that’s what the people want, and you want to be their president, why won’t you support what the people want? They don’t want us to be Netanyahu’s bank and arms dealer. Why is that so hard to understand? Why are we risking  losing Michigan and the election?

Kamala. Please.

One year ago today, I (and the rest of us) awoke to the devastating news that over 1200 civilians — mostly Jews — had been slaughtered in Israel, and lay dead in the streets.

On today's episode, I not only reflect back on that fateful day, but I also uncover the uncomfortable truths that surfaced in the days, weeks and months that followed, that led us to where we are today:

• In the years leading up to October 7th, Netanyahu backed millions of dollars being sent to Hamas in the hopes it would help them fight the Palestinian Authority. That’s right. Netanyahu and his fascist War Council were helping to fund Hamas. Outrageous. • In the days before October 7th, Netanyahu removed Israeli soldiers, who were there on the border with Gaza to protect Israeli citizens who lived nearby. Days later, those same Israeli citizens were attacked and killed by Hamas. And while many of them spent up to 14 hours that day hiding in shelters, calling and begging Israeli police and military to come save them, they were met with silence and left to die.

• Hamas kidnapped over 250 people and transported them 2-10 miles into Gaza, an area and population roughly the size of Queens, NY. The Israeli government knows exactly where they’re at and have not rescued them (just imagine 250 Americans being kidnapped and held in Queens and after a year, neither the NYPD nor the U.S. Army had gotten them out of there). Instead, the Israeli army has been nonstop bombing this Queens-sized area where their own people are being held hostage. Would you support bombing (obliterating) Queens if a group of terrorists were holding your grandmother, your son, your loved ones?

My friends, we are being played. Netanyahu has had only one thing in mind: An ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people. His plan has been to use our tax dollars to fund & arm an off-the-rails mass slaughter of innocent Palestinians. And now, his new plan is to drag us Americans into a war with Iran. Anyone here want to sign up for that? This is how we honor the dead of October 7th?

In this podcast, now only 4 weeks away from November 5th, I also cover the latest lies and vitriol coming from the American Bibi, Donald J. Trump. And I reveal the negative effect of our unwavering support of Netanyahu on the Michigan voters, and I plead with Vice President Harris to do whatever she can, right now, to end the madness in the Middle East. Or, at the very least, tell the American people, the majority of whom, like her, support an immediate ceasefire, that she is going to do right by us and fix this as soon as she holds real power.

What a summer. I can't believe how the tables have turned.

Not even a minute into the Trump/Biden debate two months ago, on the night of June 27, as Biden struggled to form a coherent answer to the first question, our future became clear: Come November 5th, Trump would be elected to a 2nd term. That seemed inevitable, until suddenly, in a shocking about-face, it wasn’t. And now, I am filled with hope — not only because we may elect our first woman president, but also our most progressive one!

But, no matter how high we feel, we cannot ignore — and we must address — the one stain on an otherwise spotless Democratic Convention: The Democrats refused to allow a Palestinian-American to speak on the stage. Utterly shameful!

• Make your own homemade Kamala Harris for President yard sign! You don’t have to wait for the party to get the signs printed. You don’t have to buy knockoff signs from weird websites. Make your own! Get some friends together, get your kids to help, get the neighbor’s kids to help! Last week was a whirlwind. High on adrenaline and hope, I spent my weekend organizing and writing. And late Sunday night I sent you a letter with part one of my election essay explaining that the first step to defeating Trump is to acknowledge we are already defeating Trump.

On this episode of my podcast, I share that letter, “Now, We Crush Trump: 100 Days to a Better World,” with my podcast listeners — with a few additions and surprises.

Election Day is 97 days from today. Trump will lose. How do I know this? We are already building a new American Majority. There are more of us than there are of him. Now we just have to show up and vote. We also have much work to do — from now, to early voting in late September/early October, until the last hour of Election Day. I have lots of ideas on how to find our fellow Majority members and get out the vote that I’ll share with you over the coming days and weeks.

Here is the podcast version of my written plea for someone to please step in and get President Biden the medical evaluation and help he so obviously needs. An amazing one out of five of our 45 previous presidents have NOT made it to the end of their term. The Founders anticipated this and created an easy solution. We all voted for her in 2020 just in case of and for exactly this reason. Stop wasting another minute! We need every one of the next 122 days for the millions of us to be out there doing the work we must do to block Trump from returning to the White House.

President Biden, thank you for the good you have done. You will be remembered throughout the ages. But not if you let your enablers hound you into doing what your body is begging you not to do. Be the one who not only stopped Trump, but also the brave man who gave us our first woman in the Oval Office. She will complete your mission — and we will stand beside her. THIS is your moment in history. Let the doctors examine you. Then do the right thing.

Last week the state of Louisiana enacted a new law requiring the Ten Commandments be posted in every classroom in every school in the state — from kindergarten to the final year of college.

But it looks like Louisiana will be posting the wrong 10 Commandments! God has recently updated his original 10 from the Bible — and Louisiana needs to make sure they’re posting the correct, and most current 10 Commandments. God (He/She/They) spoke to me recently and told me that they, in fact, have been updated, but that Heaven no longer had enough angels to carry the Word of God to everyone on Earth.

I said to God, “You have a website. Just post it there.”

God replied, “I’ve been having a lot of technical problems with my site. And now it seems to have crashed.”

I said, “You have a Son, remember? ‘Son of God?’ JC? That’s why we have kids now. To help us when we have internet problems. Why haven’t you asked him to fix this?”

“I have, and all he keeps saying is ‘Unplug your computer and then plug it back in.’”

Not wanting to get into a family squabble, I just said to God, “Give me your updated 10 Commandments. I’ll write them down on my tablet…”

“WAIT!” God bellowed. “You have your OWN tablet?”

“Yes, your sire or Lord or whatever you go by now, everybody these days has their own tablet. Just give me the new 10 Commandments and I will read them on my podcast so that they will be heard by a multitude of millions.”

And thus God decreed that I shall share the New 10 Commandments (or what God calls the “v.7.0”) with all of you — and the state of Louisiana.

It’s been nearly a week since the boss of the Trump Crime Family was convicted of 34 felonies. And yet, he still roams the streets of America, Fox News, and Wisconsin. Sentencing is scheduled for July 11th.

Fifty-one years ago, Donald Trump and his father, Fred Trump were charged with breaking the law by violating the Fair Housing Act and the Civil Rights Act of 1968 (which stated that even though you were a bigot, you still had to rent the apartments you owned to anyone regardless of their race, creed, color or national origin). The Trumps sought to try out a new legal theory of theirs that this particular law did not apply to them. The case, in U.S. federal district court, was The United States v. Fred C. Trump, Donald Trump, and Trump Management, Inc. The crimes that the Trump mob was accused of committing involved the Trumps refusing to rent any of their nearly 4,000 apartments that they owned in New York City to people who were Black or Puerto Rican. It turned out that over a period of decades, only seven Black families were allowed to rent any Trump apartments. To avoid any further prosecution or penalties, the Trumps signed a consent decree to stop discriminating against people of color. A few years later, the government accused father and son Trump of violating the agreement they had signed. It was one of many cases over the years where, no matter how often the Trump Organization was accused of civil rights violations, fraud, not paying contractors or employees, and other acts of illegal or immoral ineptitude and debauchery — acts too numerous to list here — they were repeatedly hauled in front of a judge to face justice, only to slip through the cracks in the law, while showing no remorse, receiving no punishment, and having zero impact on them, thus ensuring they would never become law-abiding and decent citizens.

On this episode of my podcast, I do a shallow dive into how the Trump Crime Family did not get away with it this time.

Please listen here to all my favorite takeaways from Trump’s conviction: how Juror #2, an investment banker, told the court he got most of his news from Trump’s Truth Social — and then voted to convict him; how the trial did turn out to be a “jury of his peers” as 8 of the 12 jurors had jobs that on average are in the upper 20 percent of income earners in America; how diverse the jury was of Americans from every part of the country (only 2 of the jurors were native New Yorkers); and in the end, considering how there had to have been at least one person on the jury who voted for Trump in the 2020 election, the evidence was so damning, there was no way he was going to walk this time.

It is Day 19 today of the Great 2024 Nonviolent Student Uprising against the U.S.-backed slaughter of innocent Palestinian civilians (over 70% of the dead are children, women and the elderly). Nearly 40,000+ souls massacred by the Israel Defense (Offense) Force via carpet bombing, sniper drones, forced starvation and the mass mandatory removal of Gazans into “safe zones” where they are then bombed again and murdered by the Israeli army. 

This horrific assault is armed and supported by the U.S. government and funded by nearly 300 million American taxpayers. This slaughter could end in the next hour if we Americans just simply pulled the plug, closed the bank, cut off the free billions to the Netanyahu regime, and stopped sending weapons to conduct a genocide that is in violation of American and International law. One phone call from President Biden, one stroke of his pen and POOF! — War Is Over. It literally is that easy. 

The youth already know this. That’s why tens of thousands of them across the country and around the world are holding sit-ins, nonviolently occupying campus quads and administration buildings, demanding their universities divest from companies doing business with a rogue and racist regime. These students are risking their college careers, facing suspension and expulsion, future blacklisting as they seek employment after college, physical assault from pro-Israel gangs armed with clubs, mace and explosives, and being arrested by the police because they were exercising their Constitution rights to free speech, freedom of assembly and the freedom to redress their grievances against their government’s actions. 

And for doing this — the most humane, most loving, most American of acts — they are slandered and smeared and called… wait for it!… antisemites! By the very antisemites who back the slaughter of the Semitic people known as the Palestinians! Wow. Now that’s chutzpah!

Lie after lie, day after day, is told about these protests. They are not threatening Jewish students. To the contrary, thousands of Jewish students and faculty have shown up to support and participate in the pro-Palestine, anti-war, anti-genocide demonstrations. The Palestinian students join them for Shabbat dinner on Friday nights. At one encampment the Palestinian students did a Jewish folk dance for their compatriots. The hater pudits don’t want you to know that. Why not? Because they know that’s the world you and I want to live in — as opposed to the world they’re trying to maintain for us: A world without Palestine. These young people have decided they want NONE of that. 

I say more nonviolent civil disobedience! More tent encampments! More sit-ins. More citizens taking to the streets. It’s a proud and time-honored America tradition! We wouldn’t have the rights and freedoms we now enjoy without an entire history of it! 

There would be no women able to vote today if the suffragettes hadn’t thrown up a picket line surrounding and blocking the White House in 1917. For that they were arrested, beaten, imprisoned for months, with many later abandoned by their husbands. 

There would be no UAW or unions in general had not my uncle and 2,000 other GM workers in 1936 taken over the factories in Flint and staged a 44-day sit down strike. 

Outside agitators? More of that too! That was the description used by all the media and the racist mayors and governors when Martin Luther King, Jr. showed up to town. He held sit-ins, takeovers, he trespassed everywhere and thank God for him because he moved mountains. He was hated for it. He was slandered and called every disgusting name possible. 

There would be no civil rights laws, no Black members of Congress if King had not been a nonstop “outside agitator” and lawbreaker of racist laws. 

And trespassing? The #1 Trespasser in American History? Her name was Rosa Parks. She broke the law and trespassed into the white section of a Montgomery, AL, bus on December 1st, 1955. And that was that. President Biden said that students who cause “chaos” will be arrested. Joe, Mrs. Parks heard you say that. If she and Dr. King and millions of others had not caused a massive amount of chaos, disruption and lawbreaking, where would we be? What if in 1960 four black students at the Woolworth lunch counter in Greensboro, North Carolina had not refused to move until they were served? Within a week there were illegal sit-ins demanding integration in over a hundred cities. 

And what of Vietnam? Millions of students taking over campuses! Newsflash: Windows were broken! Oh my! My lifelong friend and co-producer Rod Birleson sent me this text this morning remembering his days as a student in the 1960s and 70s at Easter Michigan University:

It was May, 1970, just days after the National Guard killed 4 students at Kent State.

I was a student at Eastern Michigan University. 

EMU was shut down for 4 days. martial law declared. A group of 3 or more students gathered together outdoors was considered an illegal gathering. But the cops could not enter the campus in patrol cars or police buses for those they were going to arrest because we spread roofing nails and broken glass on all the roads leading into campus. Even the city street cleaner could not clear a path, as it also got flat tires. The cops in riot gear had to walk into campus. K-mart sold out of sling shots. When the cops tried to enter the residential dorms to arrest students they couldn’t even get through the lobbies. One dorm started pouring boiling water out of their upper story windows. When they did manage to arrest a student with long hair, the police would cut off their hair and make it into a pony tail and hang it on their “scalp wall” in the police station. The EMU Student Council started paying the bail for any student who had been arrested. Then came the police helicopter dropping tear gas grenades on any group of more than three students.

It didn't work. The entire campus was liberated. Breaking a few windows seemed like a small crime compared to an American B-52 dropping a load of 500-pound bombs on a village of Vietnamese people. 

Back then we were right. We were young and we were students. Today the young people are right. God bless them.

On this week’s episode(s) of my podcast, my crew and I disobey the college presidents’ and NYC’s Mayor Adam’s orders to “outsiders” to stay off the campuses and to stop trying to “radicalize” our youth (because young people don’t have a mind of their own). My crew (Angie, Donald, and “Anonymous”) paid a visit to the NYC protest encampments made up of students from Columbia University, City College, City University (CUNY), NYU, etc. to hear directly from the brilliant student organizers of these historic demonstrations. These are the voices you won’t hear on the mainstream media. Listen here to their eloquence and passion as they take a stand for the Palestinian people. 

And then either join them — or start one yourself.

Every day, for as long as I can remember, I have taken the time to listen to the Writer’s Almanac — particularly to hear what has happened that day in history. Yesterday was no exception and it turns out April 14th is a historic day of epic proportions.

On this episode of my podcast, I share what I learned about April 14th and, once again, remind Biden that he (Biden) is going to be personally responsible for putting Trump back in the White House if he continues to ignore the will of the American people. Through protests, open letters, polls, and primaries they have made their position clear: end the war in Gaza TODAY.

Not a day goes by that I don’t think about the onslaught against the people of Gaza by Benjamin Netanyahu and the bombs that Biden is sending him — courtesy of you and I and every other tax-paying American. 

Yet, this conflict didn’t begin on October 7. In fact, the persecution and imprisonment of the Palestinian people has been going on for generations. It’s a story I’ve been covering since the early days of my newspaper, The Flint Voice, in the 1970s — and when I first traveled to Gaza, West Bank and Israel in the 1980s.

As history continues to sadly repeat itself, on this episode of Rumble with Michael Moore (recorded on Easter Sunday), I look back on previous discussions between 2019 and 2023 of the Palestinian struggle on my podcast — talking about how journalists both here and in Palestine have been harassed and killed, how a one-state solution might be the best path to democracy and peace, and how visiting occupied Palestine as a young journalist changed me forever.

P.S. Watching Netanyahu and his “war cabinet” and generals over the past few days since the killing of the World Central Kitchen chefs and food workers has been revolting. Listening to the Israeli leaders tell one lie after another is breathtaking. Can someone please tell them that no one with a brain or a conscience believes them. No one is buying the official story. This humanitarian convoy was specifically targeted. The Israelis fired three missiles only at these three clearly marked aid vehicles. Murdered. Because these aid workers were disrupting the government plan of genocide through starvation. Chef Andres was providing Gazans with 300,000 meals A DAY! IT HAD TO BE STOPPED. How do I know this? Because I’m a citizen of the country funding and arming this mass slaughter. I live under a government that has often been the biggest bunch of liars throughout history (Gulf of Tonkin) and the OG of a genocide so massive (tens of millions of Native peoples and enslaved humans) over the longest period in history (1492 until the present). So Israel is just continuing what we started. Pathetic. Sick. Evil. And it’s up to us to stop it.

On today’s podcast, I answer the burning questions surrounding the disappearance of the Princess of Wales and then dump a bucket of ice water on us so we can wake up and finally admit the Central Truths we didn’t want to acknowledge in 2016:

A. Trump is smarter than us. If you don’t think so, then stop right now and tell me how YOU could get elected President while sexually assaulting women (then bragging about it); lying about your worth in order to defraud banks and not pay your taxes; and finally ordering state officials to stuff a ballot box with 11,780 nonexistent votes for you. He may be an idiot and a bigot, but he’s also an evil genius (with the emphasis on genius). 

B. Trump has never been convicted of a crime, and has never spent a single night in jail. How delusional do we have to be to believe that after a 50-year career of Trump committing one perfect crime after another that suddenly now his unbroken streak of evading the law is going to come to an end?!

C. The Special Prosecutor will not save us. Fani Willis will not save us. The Trump-appointed Bankers Boxes judge will not save us. The electoral college will definitely not save us. Joe Biden’s campaign staff will not save us. Stormy Daniels will not save us. 

The only ones who can save us is ourselves.

Over 100,000 Michigan voters in the Democratic Presidential Primary last week sent a message to Biden. Their message was strong and clear: End this war. Stop funding Israel's slaughter. Young voters in this 21st century will not support a president who funds a massacre, and if Biden continues to ignore the wishes of the vast majority of Americans, he will lose thousands of people in November who simply won't vote, and Trump will win by default.

Stunned by his refusal to stop funding Netanyahu’s slaughter in Gaza with our tax dollars — an action that may return Trump to the Oval Office — thousands in Michigan who are demanding an immediate ceasefire, including the statewide teachers union, the United Auto Workers, the National Nurses Union and the union of flight attendants(!) plus many others on Tuesday will vote “Uncommitted” to help save Biden from himself… and save the rest of us from a 2nd Term Trump. As Michelle Goldberg wrote in the Times on Friday, "Biden is in danger of losing Michigan and, with it, the whole election."
