Subject: Presidential Visit to Idaho
Mike,
I just wanted to complain to someone who may give a rat's ass besides my wife. The President of the US visited the state of Idaho, where I'm currently stationed. My unit made it MANDATORY to attend. I did my part by sitting down the entire time, refusing to clap in my silent protest of the whole thing. It was sad however as to how the whole thing was portrayed. The local media made it seem that the whole military is behind this man and that they will hang on his every word. Not the case. I know that even though there are a lot of military personnel that will follow blindly, there are also many that are exactly like me. I was made to attend this glorified pep rally for the troops, whom I whole heartedly support, but I will not pretend to agree with this President or his crazy ideals. Thanks Mike for listening.
