Dear friends,

I think we can all agree on one thing: Congress is full of politicians who prostitute themselves on a daily basis to the highest bidder. They will sell us -- their constituents -- out for a fistful of dollars. It's the best little whorehouse in America.

So, a few weeks ago, we got the bright idea that someone needed to go down to D.C. and bring some order to this house of ill repute. That's why tomorrow (Wednesday, June 28) night we will introduce to you the newest member of our staff??|

We went out and hired a real life pimp and then sent him to our Nation's capital to walk the halls of Congress and knock some sense into their heads.

It's one of the most outrageous things we've tried on the show this year and the results are just as audacious. I still can't figure out which moment I love the most -- when Tariq pushes Minnesota Senator Rod Gramms to try on a pair of "ho heels," or the look on the face of the Democratic National Party official when Tariq compliments him on the party's pimping skills.

But here's the weirdest part. The piece opens with a mention of Rep. Bill Thomas who chairs the House subcommittee that regulates HMOs. Yesterday, the Bakersfield Californian reported that unbeknownst to us, Thomas had been having an affair with one of the top lobbyists for the HMO industry! Jeez, does everything have to be so literal?

Also on the show, we take a look at "Male Apartheid" in the U.S., a country where men still rule, even though we make up only 47% of the population.

And, for our "TV Nation" fans, we recall our early days in New York when we did a piece placing a black man and a white man on the street to see who a taxi would stop for. The black man was award-winning actor, Yaphet Kotto -- and the white guy was a convicted felon and attempted murderer. Guess who got the most cabs?

Well, 7 years later, not much has changed. So, on this week's show, I become Taxi Driver for a day, with just one rule: I only pick up black passengers.
