Dear Friends:
Just a quick note from back home in Buick City (a.k.a. Flint) to thank all of you for the past year. Without your interest in my work I wouldn't be able to keep making my films and writing my books. It means a great deal to me and, although communicating with you in this format isn't very personal, I want you to know that I'm deeply touched by all the wonderful, intelligent and amusing letters I receive from many of you. Although there are not enough hours in the day to respond to each of them (and my daughter is thankful for that as she once again needs to use the computer!), I do read each and every one of them.
And I can't tell you how much optimism I feel clicking through your mail. I know it sounds kind of clich?-ish, but it really does help to keep me going. Thanks.
I've put together a quick little holiday video card for all of you which you can view by clicking here.
It's a sneak peek at our visit where we sang Christmas Carols to the CEO of R.J. Reynolds (makers of fine food and tobacco products for the entire family). Hope you enjoy it (the rest of the piece will air on our new show when it premiers on Bravo in April).
Enjoy the holiday and we'll talk again on New Year's Eve.
Wishing you and yours a Starr-free Christmas, and lots of presents from the Black Dog on Martha's Vineyard.
