Jeb and George Bush to the Death! Tomorrow Night (Wed.) on "The Awful Truth"

Dear Friends,

Yesterday, the Los Angeles Times, in reviewing an advance screening of tomorrow night's episode, called "The Awful Truth" the "smartest, funniest, most subversive satire on TV."

Tomorrow night (Wednesday, May 24), if you tune in to our show, "The Awful Truth," on Bravo, here is what you'll see:

-- The "African American Wallet Exchange Program," wherein I take a trip to Harlem to distribute Day-Glo Orange wallets so that the police will no longer mistake a black man's wallet for a gun. Last year, the police fired 41 bullets and killed a man named Amadou Diallo -- whose only crime was that he was holding his wallet. This is one of many such incidents around the country where unarmed black citizens have been killed because the cops thought they "saw something."

-- The Sibling Rivalry of the Century! Gov. Jeb Bush vs. Gov. George W. Bush in a race to the death! Death PENALTY, that is. On tomorrow night's show, we send our cheering section to "support" the Bush brothers as they each try to outdo each other in executing more prisoners. We've got marching bands, cheerleaders, big scoreboards, and lots of fans who show up at actual executions in Texas and Florida to root-root-root for the home team! If this all seems a little dark and twisted, well, that's why we're on at 10pm!

-- Throughout the show tomorrow, it's "Compassionate Conservative Night," where we'll have actual Wall Street bankers and investors, most of whom are worth millions, participating in a number of REAL events, such as "Dunk the Homeless," "Pie the Poor," and "Pin the Tail on the Illegal Alien." Did I say the Death Penalty piece was out there? Whoa, wait 'til you see this!

The NRA held their convention over the weekend and a bunch of gun-nuts have started a letter writing campaign against the show! Thank you, Moses! Ol' Charlton Heston holding up that rifle and screaming his head off on Saturday was priceless. But their announcement that they were going to invade Times Square and open up a theme store and restaurant -- well, thems fightin' words! Trust me, they will rue the day they invade our set! Pistol Pete will not be packing!

So, don't forget to tune in this Wednesday night (tomorrow), on Bravo, at the following times:
10pm and 1am Eastern
9pm and Midnight Central
8pm and 11pm Mountain
7pm and 10pm Pacific

(And in the U.K., we're on tonight -- Tues. -- in the 11pm hour on Channel 4)
