"For right or wrong, regardless of where you stand on all this, it exists — the dissatisfaction with the Democrats — amongst working people, amongst progressive, liberal, left, whatever you want to call it — they are fed up with the Democrats not coming through with what they're supposed to do. And so there is going to be — if Obama doesn't do his job — there is going to be a strong challenge. ...
"You stand the chance of having 2000 happen again. Anybody in the mainstream Democratic party who hears those words as I just spoke them, it should suddenly be like "Scream 4" because that segment of the American population that's not going to tolerate, anymore, Democrats promising to do one thing, taking our votes, and then not doing them, they are going to deny you your chance to have that second term.
"If you want that to happen, then keep moving to the right, keep the centrist position that you have, keep doing the half-measures like half-health reform, half-stimulus, half-this, half-that."
