The Cannes Film Festival comes to a close this evening with one last film and the presentation of the awards, including the Palme D'Or. Fahrenheit 9/11 is in the running for the Palme, and Michael will be heading to the ceremony this evening for the awards presentation.
You can watch the awards show live on the Independent Film Channel at 1PM Eastern (10 AM Pacific). The show will be rebroadcast at 8PM ET (5PM PT). You can find IFC's schedule here. Consult your local listings for the IFC channel in your area.
Over at the official site of the Festival, you can watch the photo call and a short interview with Mike at the bottom of this page, and the pre-premiere press conference at the bottom of this page.
Also, yesterday the International Federation of Film Critics gave Fahrenheit 9/11 the award for best film in competition. We were all very honored and had a good time chatting with the team behind Whiskey, which won the Critics' award for best film in the Un Certain Regard category. Congratulations to them, and a thank you to the Film Critics.
