Today Fahrenheit will open in hundreds of new towns and cities across the country, hitting a total of more than 1700 screens. You can find out where it is playing near you and how to get tickets by going to www.f911tix.com.
Last weekend, the opening weekend, we posted a request for pictures and stories from the opening night. The emails have not stopped coming ever since. Last Saturday we posted some of the responses people were sending us about the film. The next day we posted photographs from around the country. In the time since more emails have come. We have posted just a small sampling of these messages here, broken down by state:
Take a few moments and read through these letters. Feel free to share them with your friends. If nothing else, you have to read the letters from Texas--there's a revolution brewin'!
We cannot thank all of you enough for heading to the theaters and sharing your thoughts on the film and your experiences in line. If Fahrenheit 9/11 is opening in your town today, feel free to drop us a line and tell us about your own opening day experiences. And, hey, feel free to take a red carpet with you to the theater. You and your friends can stand on it if you have to wait in line. (And we are sorry about the lines, but it sounds like everyone is having a jolly good time!)
Oh, and our favorite email so far today? This one:

Subject: SOLD OUT on a Thursday?
Hey Mike,
My wife and I tried to see a 7 p.m. showing of Fahrenheit 9/11 last night, July 1, in Bethesda MD. Imagine my surprise when I found that the show was completely sold out! On a Thursday! Almost inside the Beltway!
So we had to settle for Spider-Man 2 up the street (plenty of empty seats in *that* theater).
We'll keep trying! Meanwhile, thanks for being you.
M. A. C.
