Last night, the jury here at the 57th Cannes Film Festival awarded the Palme D'Or, one of the highest honors in filmmaking, to Fahrenheit 9/11. Michael and everyone who worked on the film were completely blown away. Four of the nine festival jury members were American. Fahrenheit 9/11 is the first documentary to win the Palme since Jacques Cousteau's "The Silent World" in 1956.
