Once again, I woke up this morning and after taking my son to school I poured my cup of coffee. I started looking around for my dose of news. Instead of looking for news like I should I was going around doing some light advertising for my blog. I came across this link to an article written by a gentleman named Kyle Olson on townhall.com . Apparently he was commenting that Michael Moore should go on a hunger strike. Or at least it seemed from the headline. Matter of fact, the only thing in the article that wasn’t a thinly veiled insult at the man were the words “Kyle Olson”.
I read this short, poorly thought out excuse of a column and came to the conclusion that Mike forgot to shake his hand or something at a cocktail party years ago and in true George Costanza fashion has picked now as his moment to get back. I’m first going to tackle the point of him saying that since he (Moore) wanted to have very wealthy people arrested; Olson suggested that Michael nominate himself for arrest. Citing of course that he lives in a mansion in Northern Michigan and citing his estimated worth. Why does he not distribute his own wealth he asked? Well gee Kyle, maybe he worked for it. Think of it this way, if you walked into a casino and hit it big; do you evenly portion the money out to all the people who busted at the tables? No, you don’t. In case you haven’t noticed the past couple of decades, he hasn’t been sitting in a field with a giant net waiting for money to fall from the sky. He worked hard for that money and that big house. I admit that I may personally be complicit in the fashioning of one of his wall sconces from my contribution to one of his books, and I am damn proud for it. Since you weren’t listening to begin with Kyle, he was talking about the scum pieces of garbage like Bernie Madoff and the like; who bilk people out of money hand over fist. And since you seem to be making a few bucks, why don’t you spread some of your wealth around. You wouldn’t, because the equal spread of wealth in a society is COMMUNISM, you jackass.
Then he goes on in the article, or I would call it a small portion of gibberish miraculously strung together in sentence fragments; to suggest that Mike go on a hunger strike. Jesus Christ pal, you didn’t even try there. The whole last half of the article was a weight joke. Very bad ones too. Saying that Michael Moore turning away from a pizza would be national news. No, nobody would give a damn if he did or he didn’t. That’s a stupid idea and Kyle Olson is stupid for suggesting it. There are a million better ways for someone to get a message across than what you are suggesting. Not to mention it’s just an out and out insult. People would respect Olson more if he just put out a giant billboard that said he didn’t like Michael Moore and thought his ideas were silly. But he has to take the low road. And I thought all you conservative folk were all about the high road.
If you want to have a conversation like an adult Kyle, for god’s sake at least try. Try to come up with a better idea, instead of just blindly insulting people. There are too many things in this country that are messed up without someone like yourself wasting everyone’s time by insulting people you don’t agree with.
