Military recruiter arrested after child molestation charges

A recruiter from the Vancouver area was arrested in Portland after he failed to appear in court on a child molestation charge.

Portland Police arrested Major Osadebe Mordi "Paul" Anene at the recruiting center on Northeast 78th in Portland on Wednesday.

Clark County Sergeant Tim Bieber said a warrant was issued for Anene on January 3 for child molestation charges.

The victim was a child under the age of 12.

Bieber said he failed to appear for a court date. Before the arrest, deputies were working with the military to find Anene, sine he had advanced weapons and evasion training.
