WICHITA, Kansas, Feb. 26, 2008 – Funeral arrangements have been made for Kansas soldier killed in Iraq.
Services with Military Honors will be held for SSG Bryant Wayne Mackey at 10 a.m. Friday, February 29 at Countryside Funeral Home at 420 S. 20th Street in Fredonia. Internment will follow at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard.
A memorial has been established with the Fredonia Library.
Mackey was killed Wednesday, February 20th in Mosul, Iraq due to injuries he sustained when a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) stuck his vehicle.
He is survived by his wife and three children.
Governor Sebelius has ordered flags be flown at half-staff throughout the state Friday in honor of SSG Bryant Mackey.
