Subject: soldiers against the war

michael moore,

i just wanted to thank you for everything you've done and continue to do. my roommate and i are in the ohio army national guard and our unit has received it's mobilization order. we leave january 4th (to train in indiana for a month or two) and then it's off to iraq for a year. i want you to know that my roommate and i are in full agreement with your views. we are strong advocates of true democracy and in some ways are so fed up with the bullshit that america now stands for that we have lost our desire to stay here. in bowling for columbine we saw how much safer it is in canada and many other free countries than the u.s... if bush gets reelected, i don't think either of us will be thrilled living here. our country is fortunate to have you out there, speaking your mind, speaking the truth and making a difference. you are truly an inspiration. hey maybe you should run for president. . . no bullshit american rhetoric, no wool pulled over the eyes, no greed, no power struggle, just honesty, goodness and peace. you should really consider it. let's hope a worthy democrat steps up and takes over the chaos that bush instilled.
