Subject: A letter from just someone in the navy
Hello,

I just wanted to write to you and let you know that it is a real inspiration that there are still people of intelligence out there. I am a 21 year old male in the US Navy and it is amazing how much ignorance I encounter on a daily basis from the people in the service. There are a few out there who still question what we are told but not many. Most are just like robots and will do and believe anything that they are told by our superiors (the government). For those of us who do question and ask out loud what is going on (with "Iraqi Freedom") we are told everything is going well, watch the news, the Iraqi's like us. etc. etc. I am sure that you have heard of a book called "Behold A Pale Horse" Many have and then many more have not. My friend had this book on the USS _________ and he was told by his superiors that if he did not destroy that book he was going to be sent to mast and if not that then severely disciplined. I know a lot of that is not real but any book that I am told I can not read, I am going to read it. I just thought of a suggestion for a topic for you to take on. "Why are people in the military denied our basic rights, which we are supposed to be defending". Well just a thought. Anyways, I am doing my best to spread what you are telling the public to my friends in the military. Thanks for giving me some hope in the future of America.
