Blogger Profile: Thomas Steinbeck
Thomas Steinbeck began his career in the 1960's as a combat
photographer in Vietnam. Along with his writing and producing obligations, Mr.
Steinbeck is in demand as a public speaker where he lectures on numerous
subjects, particularly history and literature as they relate to current events.
Thomas Steinbeck's first novel, In the Shadow of the

bookstore. Thomas was one of the generous contributors to the My California

California Arts Council. My California is in its third print run. He has
written and sold numerous original screenplays and documentaries, as well as
adaptations of his father's work.
Thomas Steinbeck has been an active and verbal proponent of
author's rights. In 2009, he worked closely with his friend Arlo Guthrie, in a
successful initiative to implement an extension to the settlement negotiations
between the Author's Guild and Google.
Mr. Steinbeck serves as an honorary board member at the
Stella Adler Theatre in Hollywood. He is active on the boards at the National
Steinbeck Center in Salinas, California and the Center for Steinbeck Studies in

Thomas Steinbeck lives in California with his wife. He has
completed 5 books. The fourth will be available later this year.
