Nancy Lessin and Charley Richardson are co-founders of Military Families Speak Out (MFSO), an organization of military families who are speaking out to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Their son served with the U.S. Marine Corps in Iraq in spring, 2003, and was sent to Afghanistan twice as a military contractor. MFSO was founded in November, 2002 by two families speaking out to try to prevent a U.S. invasion of Iraq. Currently MFSO has a membership of over 4,000 military and Gold Star families who are working to bring our troops home now and ensure that they receive the care they need when they return. MFSO is the largest organization of military families speaking out against wars in the history of the United States.
