Julianna Forlano is the creator, host, and producer of the acclaimed political news parody ABSURDITY TODAY! on DirectTV and Dish Network’s FSTV. As a speaker and performer, Ms. Forlano has a reputation for consistently delivering intelligent, socially relevant, insightful and funny commentary on stage and on air. Her list of notable performances includes being the featured speaker and humorist at Barack Obama’s Official Inaugural Ball as well as appearing in NYC at the Friar’s Club, The Daily Show and Friends Show, Netroots Nation Conferences, and The 92nd Street Y Tribeca. She is contributing writer for CrooksandLiars.com, and her writing can also be seen in the Chicago Sun Times, in the book Letters to President Obama and in other outlets.
Ms. Forlano holds a BA in Philosophy from Colgate University and MSW from New York University. A licensed psychotherapist, Ms. Forlano has served as a life coach for private clients for over 10 years. She also teaches Media Studies courses including Media Ethics, Broadcast Journalism, and Comedy Scriptwriting in the Department of Television & Radio at Brooklyn College. She currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.
