Former EMT Charles Giles was a first-responder on 9/11 and was injured when the towers collapsed. After being pulled from the North Tower after it collapsed by a Port Authority police officer, Giles went back to work on the pile for a long time and now suffers from a many ailments and must take 39 different medications. He has received 17 diagnoses and has been hospitalized 18 times. He is bed-confined but this doesn't stop the advocacy work he does with the FealGood Foundation.
